Wonder if u can use that as well ?

Hardly surprised it's closing down. Bookshop and Lakeside goes like fish and bicycle. Who needs books when there's Peacocks?

The town where I grew up as a teenager (north yorkshire) had a short high street with 6 pubs and 1 bookshop. Then the bookshop closed.
I don't go back there any more.

I can only imagine there are 7 pubs now in the Hight Street

Excellent deal. Went there today and got a few things. The best one was a self help book to help me get over my addiction to internet shopping! Doh!

Wouldnt leave to too late, the shelves were looking rather bare today, wont be alot left by the end of deal.

Thanks for posting this, would probably never have found out about it otherwise. Went about an hour ago and picked up a couple of books i was planning to read this summer, one of which was the last copy there. Saw some text books that might be useful for uni as well that i might pick up tomorrow.

A lot of the books, like the business ones, have been moved from their usual positions into the middle shelves so its worth a look around if you're looking for something in particular. Also, there is a computer near the front where you can search for books to see if they're in stock but it wont tell you where they are.

Going to have to give it a go.

Was there on Saturday - got a load of good albums for around four quid each. Neil Young/Beatles/Mystery Jets included. Also got a couple of novels, and my girlfriend got a load of teaching resource books half price - there are some really good prices there, and a lot of stock if you can be bothered to sift through it.

I got lots of Usbourne childrens books all half price, cd's too, Muse, Evanescence, Pendulum, and I got a best of Slade for £1....which my father-in-law will love!! I went yesterday and they still have plenty of stuff left, but it is very much jumble sale style

It's down to 75% now. I went on Saturday and I'm going back tomorrow for more!
