What is the battery life like in these, any good for the trade, or just diy?

I use these at work for light drilling and screwdriving. I'm not a heavy user but am very happy with the battery life, it comes with 2 batteries and these charge quickly. The big advantage for me is they are much smaller than my 18v Bosch stuff and can get into places it can't and they are much lighter of course. They are well built and the impact driver is very capable. I use these much more than the 18v gear, but if you are drilling big holes or a lot of them, then they are probably not for you.

I so want this. super hot from me!

These are good but the main problem is with the battery design, with it stored in the grip it overheats the battery quite quickly with constant use. I find the dewalt equivalent doesn't suffer from this as the battery slides onto the bottom giving it better cooling abilities.

Really want that sparky impact driver, but I don't use them often and already have an decent 18v combi.
But want...

Sorry mate, what I meant was im exactly same as you. I want it but cant justify at the moment.
Impact guns are brilliant. Have 18v 1/4 makita. Yes your right they do work differently, they apply rotational force and also an impact force downwards into the fixing.

Ahhh k, well. I could do with one, but if I'm honest my combi does the job. But image flubbit the 2 sets and see, the Bosch has higher battery ratings tho.

Ugh sucks, really don't want the drill driver. But the amount to buy the impact driver alone is silly.

I can vouch for the impact driver. Had one for many years now, use it at work but not everyday. A great workhorse.

I'd suggest buying this kit & selling the item you do not require as it is a very good price.

i put a load of them pickle strips around my fence about a year ago, 1x2ah battery did 2000 screws, 3.5mm x 25mm, i was well impressed.

I've been sniffing about for a 18v impact, this 10.8v twin at this price has pushed me over the edge.
I have to dive in.
Thanks Op!
