*The invisible deal*

£160 at Argos £150 B&Q (in-store) Not showing on B&Q web site at this price. Simply pick a case up in B&Q take it to check out and it WILL scan at this bargain price. In general seems to get good reviews. Li Ion technology.

I noticed it in a national newspaper on Wednesday, started today, don't know when it ends.

A good Fathers day present even though I had to buy it myself!

That's a great price for Li-ion. Not sure how good Bosch tools are nowadays, but looks good.

10mm chuck lets it down a bit, but if it comes with 2 batteries, I reckon it's a good buy.

Yep! unbeatable price tag, yeah 2 bats in the case alright, don't know about quality or pitfalls yet as it's not seen any action.

Just done a 14 mile round trip to B&Q after seeing this deal and it is still scanning at £169.There is also only one battery included.I checked the product code on the one posted against the shelf code.
Waste of a drive!

Got this a while back when it was slightly cheaper, fantastic drill, and you can use the batteries on other Bosch Power 4 All items too
#6
No deal found at that price! :s
Waste of drive, I guess it's only available to selected store?

Sorry for your wasted journeys but the direct link I posted was so you could view the spec only, I did state in the main post that this deal was not online so that product code is irrelevant.

As I said the deal includes 2 batteries not 1, the case is clearly marked up 2 batteries on a bright yellow flash in the top right hand corner on the front of the case.

I can confirm that 'TheAlien' is most definitely right - they are on offer at £84 at B&Q - well they are in the Binley, Coventry store anyway. Its not old stock or clearance, its a current offer. I spoke to the Bosch guy on the Bosch stand in B&Q and they're going fast but they are definitely down to £84 for the TWO battery pack, not single battery kit. I picked up two sets as the batteries alone would cost £100 so have paid £16 less for a spare drill, charger, case and handle. Hot from me as I was about to purchase the single battery from Toolbox for over £100! Thanks 'The Alien'! I'm a believer. I'd recommend you ring the stores and ask them to check stock and prices before going though.

Why does 10mm chuck let it down a bit? There are numerous bits available with shafts 10mm but drill wider. Max specs are diameter 30mm wood, 13mm steel, 14mm brick, 10mm concrete. If you want 13mm chuck then go for the double/ triple/ quadruple the price pro series but for 3mm I'd say this fits the bill all round.

Beacuse the Hitachis I use all have 13mm chucks , making them a bit more versatile for my particular needs , and were £10 cheaper, not two, three or four times more expensive.

Still sounds like a good deal though, as I said.

Is it cordless li-ion & comes with 2 batteries? i.e. like for like?

can anyone post a pic of what the box looks like as I do not want to get stung witht he similar model with one battery
#16
Just popped into my local B&Q and picked one up. The green carry case has a yellow sticker on it that tells you it has 2 Li-On batteries, it is 18V and has the yellow "power4all" logo on it as well. It was clearly marked as £84 (says it is for today only) at one aisle end. But, they also had them in with all the other cordless drills (where they weren't marked as £84), and on another aisle end (again not marked as £84). If in doubt, just ask a member of staff.

Great timing, as I was about to spend £80 on amazon for the 14.4V single battery version!

Yes and yes. DV18DCL. IMO as good as this, but with a 13mm chuck. You need to wait for deals to get it for the £75 I paid though, so I reckon this is good.
