I got the 100 piece ste from home base at the weekend for £12.79 I think it was. So for the price this is not a very good deal in comparison. But I suppose it is still a good price campaored to the prices we paid 10 years ago.

need to get a set for my dad, is that offer still available, can't find it now?

The 100 piece set is still at £14.99, I just got one on my lunch! The further reduction was with a 15% voucher which was only valid over the weekend. Managed to get one for myself with the 15% off but there wasnt enough stock at the time to get a 2nd one as an xmas present!

cheaper at [email protected]

Would have ordered if it wasn't for the £5 delivery charge! :x

Agreed

Cold for me sorry.

My deal last week was for the X-line 100 which is still £14.99 on homebase's website. Some homebases still have stock, but there are more B& Q's in stock that will price match. and minus %10 the difference.

see http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/544947/bosch-100-piece-x-line-accessory-se

My B&Q had 4 of them on the shelf last night, still price up at £49.99.

Find stock and get the 100 piece price matched for about £12.50

if your on a really tight budget and cant find another £4.50 this is the best deal for the 30 piece set though

No not cheaper, amazon were briefly selling thee x-line 100 set for about £13.50 until they canceled all orders and said there was a price mistake.

the cheapest deal was to buy from homebase and use a discount voucher (now expired) or get B&Q to price match.

Both prices were around the £12.50 mark and that deal go to over 2100 degrees

brilliant, thank you I'll do the price match then

some B & Q's will insist there is stock at a local homebase to price match with, some don't bother checking and will happily just match the price
#12
no probs, both locals have stock and i've printed it out, so should be ok ;-)

just got back, bought it no problem ;-)

Guys I think the point is missed a bit - stock is very few and far between on the homebase deal.

Therefore, the focus deal is a good one, especially for those areas that do not have the homebase stock.

Hot from me.

Cold.

Screwfix.com have loads of better deals, and they usually do extra discounts on top.

For example: http://www.screwfix.com/prods/77975/Drill-Bits/Drill-Bit-Sets/Combination-Sets/Ryobi-Mixed-Drilling-Driving-Set-60Pc

Toolstation.com is also competitive.

disagree, yes homebase was raided, but B & Q hasnt' been to anywhere near the same degree.

not only this my 3 Homebase stores got sold out of the 100 piece set win a day (18 units)

... stock is now recovering and they now all have stock - 15 between them

why pay £7.99 for a 30 piece set when you can spend £12.50 or at worst £14.99 for a 100 piece set?

Not a hot deal at all.
I got one of these sets from Sainsburys earlier this year for £5

Possibly. £12.50 delivered for twice the amount seems good. What's quality like on Ryobi though?

Yes the 100 piece set is better value but this is still a very good deal if you want a simple drill set. This probably contains the only drills you'll ever use in the 100 piece set anyway.

More to the point this thread has just dropped me right in it with my missus. Told her I was going to buy one and she's gone into a huff because she's already bought me the 100 piece set for xmas

No B&Q hasnt, but they wont neccessarily price match if local Homebase has no stock.....durrrr

Read my earlier post! durrrr

based on what people said on the 17 odd page of my deal most people had no problems getting a price match as B & Q :-

- don't want business going homebase's way (their biggest competitor

- they could be arsed ringing up all the homebases, and getting the staff to check the stock.

its more a clause to give them the right to refuse on some deals if they wanted and to put people coming to price match. Once your there its a different story
