sorry about the HUGE image :(

Thought B&Q's reserve and collect policy was that the price paid was the till price at time of purchase? Maybe they will scan at this price without reserving?

That's a fantastic price for the 37LI - lucky you! I have been after one of these (34li or the bigger one) for some time...

I got the display model as it was £130 in the sale this weekend, they said they didnt know where the battery was but there was a new one in a return that had just came in, so took that just got home and found the battery in the grass box! seen there worth £75 Bonus!!

Can you use the 10% off card in conjunction with the 15% off deal ?
I dont think you can.

"We've been tipped off that you can get 15% off when you spend over £50 in store at B&Q* from Fri 21 - Sun 23 May. What's more, the offer includes sale items, and no voucher's needed - the discount will be deducted automatically at the till.

When you spend over £50 you'll also be given a discount card valid for 10% off, valid in store on as many subsequent transactions as you like.

This is also usable until Mon 31 May, though it can't be used with other voucher promotions, on gift cards or with trade cards. The discount isn't valid online."

Battery? It's mains!

OK, that EAN is for a rechargeable, battery version at £260! What's that got to do with this thread?
#15
I have reserved for pickup tomorrow and it is showing on the printout as £76.48, so building in the 15% off.
#16
Nice :d
#17
I bought one of these on the last bank holiday Monday. I used it for the first time on Saturday evening. IMO this is a brilliant mower and worth every penny!

Bargain, heat added.

Read the whole thread, he has already posted that he got the Li rechargeable model at same store. Perfectly valid IMO as an alternative if you didn't want the "wired" version. The Lithium battery version is very expensive normally

Back on the OP - this mower is great and have had ours for a couple of years and cuts really well. Much much better than any hover bover....

this is a great mower guys, had one a while now and its brilliant. great price too !

Picked mine up yesterday and makes mowing a pleasure, great price too :)

Hi lawnmower noob here...

I currently have an old flymo which does a good job of the lawn, but the problem is my lawn is really uneven so it is a nightmare trying to push the thing around because it gets wedged on the lawn when going over bumps etc...

would this lawnmower be better? I used a friends petrol powered mower once which was awesome... but I like the simplicity of just using electricity (and not running out of power at the wrong time).

any help or info is appreciated :-)
#22
I have just ordered, but it says I cannot collect till tomorrow. The 15% discount ends today, do you think they'll try or be able to wriggle out of it?

"Reserved orders must be collected by Monday 24th May to qualify"

Doubt it
#24
Just spoke to my local B&Q to see whether I could collect today even though it says tomorrow as the earliest.

They said fine, just place reserve and collect order now, pop in later today and say you want to collect it early. May be worth checking with your local stores and get a name in case they start wriggling out of it!!

I've got quite a bumpy / hilly lawn. (Slopes away from the house)
I found it a breeze to use and it had no problem with the bumps.
I borrowed the Mother in law to be's Flymo before and that was more of a struggle.

Hope that helps

Guys.
FYI - You don't need to reserve on-line. I bought one of these on Saturday..
It scans in as £89 and then they apply the 15% off at the till.

It took lees than 3 minutes for the wife to mow over the cord... ARGH! :x

Happy days.

RM

ps- It's a very good mower.

Thanks for the info - I'm only reserving to avoid the out of stock scenario.

No stock in solihull so as it was the last day with 15% I paid for one and they will contact me when stock is in.
#29

good price @ £110, youd be insane to pay 260 though as a petrol mower isnt much more and id like to see the battery mower cut through long wet grass, my honda izy cuts through anything without any trouble.....and starts 1st time every time (even after sitting idle for more than 7 months)

Yes, i went in with my online order and they had none left :? I said but you will honour the 15% when they come in and they said no, the only way I could get one at this price was pay for one today and when stock comes in they will email me.
#31
I spoke to the Coventry store (Binley) and they first told me they have 12 in stock, then the 'reserve and collect picker' told me there were none left, but they have 52 ordered for the 27th

So I might just buy online and wait for stock as I think it'll still be cheaper than going into the store today (my online price came to £76.48)

oh edit: none in stock online :-(

so are you saying you can go into the shop and pay your online price today, and they will let you know when they have stock?

Agree, this is a great mower. I did have a slight problem in building it, as the screw holes for the handle assembly were not big enough in one side... had to remove the handle, and "brute force" the screw hole size slightly, but other than that, very pleased. One word of caution, it comes set to cut setting "2" the shortest at 2cm... It had trouble cutting my three week old garden at this length, would recommend cutting at 4cm first, then 2 after! (But I'm no expert) heat added. Thanks Ash

I struggled with Flymos for years, then got one of these. Brilliant! Should have done it years ago. I used to be a Flymo fan but no more.

I'm torn between the Bosch and getting this petrol one at the same price: -

Teriary 3.5Hp petrol mower

The petrol one gets great reviews and is the same price. You could write on the back of a stamp what I know about lawnmowers, anyone got any good advice?

Yes, go and pay for one now and when they come in you will have it for the price you paid £76, they told me even if you order online and they have no stock they will not honour the low price unless you have gone in and paid for it.
Take your reserves online order in with you though

I was told on the phone that they would not allow me to do this :x

they basically said, 'you can't pay for it in store if we don't have it in store - you'll just have to wait till the offer comes available again, but don't worry we've already had 3 offers this year already'

which is pretty useless for me...

The Bosch I think has a 2 year warranty the cheap petrol one has a 1 year. Assumning you don;t have a huge regularly overgrown garden I would go for the simplicity of the Bosch. Mine is about 3 years old now I think and no maintenence or issues with it

If you have a huge lawn and are a dab hand with maintenance them a petrol one may be more suited?

hi just my 2p worth. went in and was going to buy this at £89.99 and instead came out with a gardena 42 cm width cut. after speaking to the 'expert' in there. £111 was the cost down from £159. like the bosch it is on wheels and comes with a mulcher aswell just an extra 6cm width cut. must say though it cuts great and my gardens lookin fine with a roller on the back to get the lines. after struggling for 1.5hrs to cut my lawn with a flymo 300 compact this 1 literally took me 10mins max. so it just depends on the make you want but was told gardena were reliable and he had never had 1 taken back.

nice find, brilliant mower got one myself!
