Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience of this drill .,. how they compared it to the similarly priced makita (ni-mh) and the hitachi (li-ion)

Hi, we recently bought the 18v version of this from Homebase at super duper knockdown price of £47 (including the additional 15% off) It has been absolutely fantastic but is the model up from what you are looking at. Have a look around see what other deals you can find on other models. Charge time is around3 hours, but seems to last forever once charged. Only one battery though, but that is all we need (just finishing off a full house renovation)

Father in law swears by the makita ones, but even he seems impressed with our Bosch one. Hope this helps a little!

p.s. like I said, check around for prices of other models, as I really wouldn't want to be paying £50 for a battery on top of what I paid for my driver. Oh and I think screwfix have a special on the makita one at the moment, so do check that out as well

I got the 18V lithium bosch blue drill a while back for £78 with two batteries. Fantastic drill. The model you have is a professional type, not as powerful as mine but light and meant to able to withstand day to day use. Mine would probably damage the wrists used every day as quite heavy. You really can't go wrong with Bosch generally.
