Black and decker or bosch....... i really dont think i'll need one but i've wanted this type of gadget for ages........

Buy the right bit set and it's not just normal screws, you can also use it instead on hex heads instead of those awkward allen keys.
#4
Is it just me, but wouldn't you be better off with a normal cordless drill? This seems to be a waste of tool space to me.

It's for where you need something less powerful, or to get into smaller places i think. I'm nt sure, but for less than a tenner it'll be a good addition to the tool box, especially as a cordless drill is around £50

Thanks this will get hot!!! Look at this old deal: http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/548333/bosch-ixo-iv-cordless-screwdriver-3

Being Bosch and Li-ion this will be a good example and this is an excellent price. BUT I seriously question the need/value of these things for 99.9% of the population. You'll use it so rarely the battery will dead anyway.

Well I got a decent Bosch cordless drill with two batteries for ~£60 recently. Great for many jobs and variable speed. Like any powertool, can be awkward in tighter corners and I can't image these to be a whole lot better so I'm gonna skip this.

Each to their own.

I thought that, but recently got a Lithium one from Very for £8, i used it to take the old kitchen apart and was very hady to get in the nooks and crannies a normal drill wouldnt reach, it struggles on a couple of screws where i had to loosen them off a bit but got 99% of the screws out, it must have been 100+ screws and only used half the battery.

And with it being Lithuim the battery isnt dead when you need to use it .

I have one of these that I bought about 2 years ago and I have used it hundreds of times.
It is a great piece of kit and at this price is a bargain.

I use it rather than my drill as it is easier to get into the small nooks and crannies.
It is actually amazing how often it gets used to.

this will only waste space, money. i have one and from experience i can say this product is aimed at EITHER someone who uses a screwdriver all day and to make it easy on their wrist OR someone who's a tool freak and want it in their collection (ME). if your like me and use a screwdriver maybe once a week to fix the odd thing then its not worth is, pay extra to get a cordless drill that can drill and screw...it will be money better spent

This is a fantastic deal, sadly, my local store doesn't have it, never did, as is the case whenever I see anything posted on here that's instore, for any national store. We must live in some kind of stock dead zone. No one ever has them and they refuse to move from store to store......I really have to move :whistling:
#31
Don't be surprised if you cant find one anywhere, if I remember rightly anything priced with .97 at the end of the price is almost non existent.

No offence intended to OP or anyone, but I've stopped even looking at PC World (and some Currys) deals posted on here.

I've NEVER been able to get a PC World 'deal', and only ever been able to get one Currys deal.

I have the same issue with some, namely the TomTom for £29.97 posted yesterday, but it's like a misprice, you have to try to get it to be in with a chance Your local store may be one of the very few that have stock on a future deal.

Just picked mine up, seems to be a few differences between this and the others around, this is silver instead of the green of others.

Haven't done any screwing yet, but seems to be OK
