Was £99.99 but reduced to £49.99 - lesser models by Homebase brand and lower voltage Bosch models (12v and 14v) were either around the same price or more so it was a no-brainer. Part of a Bosch discount event at Homebase.

The Bosch PSR18V Cordless Drill/Driver is compact lightweight and powerful ideal for light and medium duty tasks in drilling metal and wood as well as screwdriving. No matter what material this lightweight and handy machine works everywhere with the greatest precision. It has a keyless chuck for extremely fast drill bit changes without the need for additional tools. There is a forward/reverse practical sliding switch which is ideal when driving screws.

Features: Forward and reverse function.Voltage: 18V.Variable speed: 0 - 700 rpm. Number of gears: 1. Torque setting: 10 plus 1.Maximum drilling capacity for metal: 10mm.Maximum drilling capacity for wood: 25mm.Cordless: Yes.Weight: 1.7kg.Batteries: 1 x battery required (included).Battery charge time: 3 hours.Includes: Battery charger and carry case.

I know this is not the lithium ion battery version but for this price, compared with next cheapest at £76.95 via Amazon (although they sell this version with 2 batteries for £60 - odd!), it seems a good deal for the DIYer.

If voting cold please show where this is available for a better price...thanks.

27th and 28th May.
Good shout.

Interesting it's been voted cold...please let me know where this is cheaper, or is it because you prefer another manufacturer?
I bought this in a twin pack with a Bosch PBH 2000 SDS drill for £75 last month !!! It was posted on here for B & Q, last week my local one in Southampton still had one on display, the PBH retails around £80-100 so £49.99 might seem cheap for this but imho it is not
I voted it hot, bosch do good drills, 18v not to be sniffed at.
Note: No hammer action, so drilling into masonry will probably be a bit of a pain, otherwise a good price.
Already posted - but OP's link and one on original post both appear dead - Expired?
