THIS WILL COME UP AS £87.89 ON THE WEBSITE, YOU WON'T GET THE £67.89 PRICE UNTIL IT GOES THROUGH THE TILL IN-STORE.

The nearest price I could find to Argos was Amazon at £87.89. Argos also list it as £87.89 on their website but I reserved online and went down to Argos and when it went through the till it came up £67.89!! I was going to say nothing but the Mrs queried it - the store assistant said there's a deal on them at the moment.

Note: She also said it could be a subbed item which she said means it could be "substituted for a similar item". I wasn't too pleased about this but she said it was no problem, just put it through as "to view" and I could take a look. If I wanted it, pay at the collection counter, if not just leave it. To my great surprise and pleasure, it was the Bosch Rotak 34! Needless to say I swiftly payed up and legged it!

Really good reviews on Argos and Amazon for these mowers and I can see why - it does a nice neat cut.

We bought this lawnmower from Argos a couple of weeks ago at this price....good mower, so much better than our old Flymo
#2
Just bought one of these earlier today from Homebase for £79! Typical :-D

It's great anyway. Easy to assemble, light and mows really well. Its long compared to my Flymo 330 Compact and doesn't feel as solid but I prefer it.

Bargain price :)

Can;t believe this we bought from homebase too, not doing to well with the deals front at the moment, bought a dyson from argos, not too pleased with it!!! what do you do with it once used!

Bought a Rotak myself a year ago. after reading a review on amazon & I haven't been disappointed. It's amazing ..chomps right through tall grass easily . & you can lower it right to the ground for a really close cut.
As an aside i find it really useful to go look up an item on amazon for several unbiased independent ( if sometimes brief) reviews before jumping in!

You'll have to go carbooting then or go for a cheap brand that will probably break after a couple of uses. This is a Bosch lawnmower and at this price if you can get hold of it, do it. I have one there great, read the reviews on amazon.
#21
Exactly, at this price it's only slightly more expensive than the piece of crap Flymo Hover 300 I had before, an absolute steal if you have a store with stock nearby.
#22
Thanks OP. Heat and rep given.

Managed to get one in Stockton Store (3 still available when I picked up and stock in Middlesbrough stores as well).

Reserved for pick up (price showing as £87.89) and then paid on quick pay machine where price comes up as £67.89.

Do you think the aspersion has anything to do with the Op's instructions possibly not being followed to the letter despite the glaring clarity
"THIS WILL COME UP AS £87.89 ON THE WEBSITE, YOU WON'T GET THE £67.89 PRICE UNTIL IT GOES THROUGH THE TILL IN-STORE"

Just picked mine up before closing - thanks original poster.

H&R - this is a steal.

I bought one a couple of seasons ago fromn B&Q for about £100 - reduced at the time.

I am ashamed to admit that I needed one quick, because in a fit of fury (and I am generally quite a passive soul) I kicked the blazes out of my aging fly-mo after I tripped over a diasy (or some other mundane reason that could not possibly justify my actions) till it shattered into a plethora of parts.

Watching cheetahs and other savanna anmals stalking about on my front lawn made me nervous, hence the sporadic purchase to reduce the grass length to accommodate small children playing without being harassed by meat eating felines. :?

Anyhoo - unnecessary explanation aside - despite not knowing anything about it when puchased, it became quickly apparent that this is a good mower and quite versatile. Many times better than my flymo - even before it fitted in a bucket.

cheers OP

Yes, of course! If it turns out the deal is not in your local store, I'll just call my dad who is MD of Argos and get it sorted for you!

Please stop making such daft posts, first you don't read the actual description before slating the deal and now you think I somehow have the power to know that your local store will definitely be offering the same deal as mine. Several other posters have already confirmed the deal. If you need a mower, go and take a look in your local store and see if the deal is on there. If you don't, stop posting.

I bought this mower a couple of months ago from Focus and it was £100 (Damn) but got 10% off by taking an old person with me to pay for it.
