It says "cutting height RANGE" is 10cm, not cutting height 10cm. That would be some seriously high grass if it only cut at 10cm.

A good price providing they don't pull the usual Homebase trick of raising all their prices overnight (_;)
#13
nice price!
#14
I'd honestly rather pay an extra £30 and get a petrol mower, just mho
#15
good machine, bought from Argos in similar deal last year
#16
Nice bit of kit for a good price, I bought one for a similar price last year in some sale at B&Q
#17
Ordered mine to collect tomorrow - good deal if the 20% voucher is honoured.

Have been looking at the Rotak for some time (but missed the 36 in B&Q :() - then last week my Qualcast turbo finally died (motor gone)... so I'll pick this up on the way to the dump!!

Moving into my first house soon and it has a lawn, so will need to start thinking about lawn mowers. This one looks like a monster!

It says "cutting height RANGE" is 10cm, not cutting height 10cm. That would be some seriously high grass if it only cut at 10cm.

That description is wrong then, because 10 is the count of different settings that the height lever locks at.
i.e from bosch:
Cutting height 20 – 70 mm
Cutting height adjustment 10, central

I have this mower and the height range is really good.

Which petrol mower were you thinking of getting for that price?
#22
I have bought the petrol one from costco (MTD 46SPB Power-Driven Petrol Lawn Mower) for £120 but have not open yet.
Could someone give me some advise if this is better or the petrol one. thanks
#23
I've got this and it's great. My old Flymo packed in when I tried to cut grass that was a little long. This just eats it for fun.

Think I paid the same price as this last year.

Is this for the latest Rotak 34 or the 2010 model? The latest has Ergoflex.... The handles looks like it came out of a spaceship!

Cracking deal. Great mower. I just bought this about a month ago from amazon for over £100 and I'm fine with paying that for it.
#26
Oh yeah - to be fair mine is the latest ergoflex model, but I'm sure that doesn't make too much difference.
#27
This is the 2010 model, which probably explains why it was already discounted.

Still interested to hear why the ergoflex is so bad....meant to be better, being this years model
#28
Exactly what I have been looking for. Mine packed in last weekend and have been looking for a good deal on the Rotak.

Thanks OP
#29
bought this 2 months ago from B&Q for around £75!...

Its one of the best electric mowers I have ever used! I would definitely recommend this for a small or medium garden! (Only assembling the grass box can be tricky!. but once its assembled! - thats it, your ready to mow!

Great mower, voted hot!

Question....will Homebase price match & also honour this voucher? I want a Qualcast hedge trimmer that's £69 however the same item is being sold by Argos, which is the same company for £39.

I think we can guess the answer to that .......
#33
Great mower... had ours a year or more and it is by far the best lawnmower we have had
#34
Agree - had this for 2 years and its great. Recommended
#35
would jus like to say this lawnmower is excellent, bought 1 couple weeks ago and its a lightweight, i actually it is actually possible to mow and push it with 1 hand (although i dont reccommend)! heat added even if i do a;ready havfe 1! great deal!

Well I had the 37 which was crap, grass blew out from a badly fitting lid. I returned it to Argos and replaced it with the forty model which is far from crap. The 37 is no where near as comfortable and would check to see if the lid on the grass box fits ok.
#37
Can someone confirm they got this offer, now the voucher is 'live'.

Thanks
#38
hi,
Just went to pick one up but was told that the voucher was a copy and it wouldn't scan, luckily the nice lady scanned me one of theirs.
#39
Great mower - highly recommend it.
#40
Collected mine today with no problems using the voucher.

They even had the vouchers at the tills so whenever a customer went through they asked "do you have a discount voucher?"

If they said no they were just scanning the ones by the till so giving everyone 20% off!!

Came home to use it and its pooring down so will have to wait til tomorrow
