Ok here's how it should work...

Currently the Bosch Rotal 36 Ergoflex is already on offer @B&Q for £89 (down from £129.98) which in itself is a good price, however this weekend B&Q are doing a 20% of a £100 Spend.

So if you add ANY item for £11 or more to the £89 Bosch Lawnmower, to make up the value of £100, you will then get 20% off.

In the end you will have the Lawnmower £9 cheaper than it is now + your £11 for free. Thus £80.

Also, for even an better saving, so via Quidco/TCB for 3.5% Reserve and Collect Cashback...

Hope that makes sense :-)

EDIT: Confirmation of 20% at B&Q below:

That assumes the offer on the mower does not end before the weekend....

Spend 11 to save 9? Unless you need something else then this is not so great.

This was £89 a few weeks back and hit 418°...so I guess a lot thought that was a great deal...

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/bosch-rotak-36-ergoflex-electric-rotary-lawnmower-89-b-q-1192493

Now you can get another £9 off (that's more than a 10% discount on £89) AND you get a further £11 of goods effectively for free and that's "...not so great"???

Shame I don't need a new lawnmower...

Ha ha! I took my £89 mower back on a Wednesday and did a "return and sale" with my Diamond Card, thus getting it for £80. Since then I have used it. If only I'd hung on I could have repeated the exercise, getting the mower for the same price but together with an £11 freebie. Why was I so impulsive, why, why? ;-)
Seriously, well spotted OP. Hot deal! Heated.

I disagree, I had the larger LI one and the battery never lasted long enough to cut the front and back garden, also the corded version has noticably more power making it easier to cut if the grass is long or slightly wet

Been looking at one I these for a while, reserved for pick up tomorrow

thanks OP, might be getting one this weekend

Very good price for a very good mower - I have the Rotak 40 and it's pretty impressive so well done op.
#15
Seems to have gone back up to £89 now

Just bought one from Homebase as it's 20% off all gardening stuff this weekend, also used my Nectar points so got it for £60. (£100 (original price) - 20% discount - £20 from my Nectar account). First cut on long (my petrol mower died a few weeks ago) damp grass is pretty impressive.

If you don't want to spend the extra £11 at B&Q pop down to your local Homebase and get it for £79.99...even better if you have some spare Nectar points like me.

But from B&Q, due to 20% off £100 being £20, therefore £100-20 = £80; you're getting the lawnmower and £11 of stuff for £80?!

EDIT: Also just to point out, my quidco hasn't tracked but I don't think they pay out for R&C unless you do the payment online at the time?

Put in a Manual Claim. Claim processed everytime, Reserve & Collect is always iffy tracking on Quidco.

P.S. The Offer is available from today. starts 4th May

Thanks I'll give it a go, Quidco seems to be hopeless tracking from my home nowadays, works ok on work's machines. Cleared all cookies etc as well :S

Anyway can confirm offer is on (and lawnmower is £90 before the discount kicks in when you spend over £100). Confused the hell out of the assistant asking if the price was before or after discount, as they've put a few boards up around the shop showing the potential '20% off' price.

Ended up spending £120 after discount lol, would have got a bit more off too if they'd taken Amex :(

You're not playing with a full deck are ya!

Just bought one, and went to £103.20 with some other bits and pieces I needed. Final total £82.55- Bargain, especially considering the mower was originally £129.95.
#24
Mine is still unopened in our spare room from purchasing 10 days ago. Do I bother taking it back for £11 worth of freebies if I'm passing?!?
Already purchased it for £80.10 using over 60's discount. Hmmmmmm...
#25
Took ours back, re-purchased along with a replacement Flymo blade, with a total cost of <£84. Rotak for £80 and genuine Flymo blade for just under £4 :D

Thanks OP.

Bought mine yesterday, there were still plenty available in store. I have been looking for a lawnmower for sometime and when the Rotak 34 was on offer I almost went for it however I was advised to go for a petrol one. Couldn't find a decent petrol one at a reasonable price so bought this one. If in the future a petrol one becomes available, I'll just pass this one onto my brother.
Good find, thanks

I'm disappointed with this mower. Tried to put it together today but the handle arms didn't line up properly when using the two highest screw holes. Both should have been parallel to each other (I think), but they weren't . The tightening levers didn't appear to work properly either, so the entire handle structure didn't feel secure. Finally, the handle used to alter cutting height was very stiff & frustrating to adjust.

I'm not sure whether to get an exchange, or a refund to put towards an alternate mower such as the Mountfield princess 38.

I am sorry about your experience with this mower however I put mine together in 5 minutes and had a go at my lawn today. I was well impressed by it. I do agree with you on the point you made about the lever to adjust the height, it seemed a little stiff but I put it down to me and probably with time I would get the hang of it. I tried on level 4 first just to see how it cut and then lowered it to 2. I am very happy with it. (Level of experience - Novice).

I'll take mine back for an exchange tomorrow. The mower has generally had great reviews, so I'm hoping that mine was is a random faulty unit.
#30
Thankfully the replacement mower assembled as it should, although attaching the grass box to the mower can be a little tedious. The blade feels rather sharp, unlike Flymo metal blades I've previously purchased.

Unfortunately we had a downpour of rain yesterday, so I couldn't test her on our front lawn.

To all you slow people sending " spend £11 to save £9 is not a great deal" let me break it down for you. Spend £89 on just the lawn mower OR get the lawn mower and an £11 item all for £80. It is go and select a free £11 item and for choosing that item B&Q will reward you by giving you £9 off of the price of the lawn mower.

This truly is a great deal and I know I have a Math degree, but you don't need to be a genius to work it out. So if you are **** at Math then I hope you chose to let it go.
