Bosch Rotak 430 lawn mower is £125 instore and online.

I actually went into the store to pick up the 340 as it was on offer (already posted here) but preferred this one. But as it was listed £176 on the website so I decided with the 340.

Got to the store and found the 430 next to the 340's for £125 happy days :)

I got this mower last year, Think it was the same price, Can not fault it, had the 34 before this one, And that one is still going strong, Best mowers in my opinion.

Yeah, I meant 370 not 340! I had done a bit of research and preferred the 430 but I didnt wanna spend £170 on it so I decided with the 370 as it was reduced from 120-90. Made up when I saw these for £125 :)

Hey guys, I bought the 320 that was posted here two days ago but had to return it. Couldn't assemble it as where they had bore the metal holes to screw the handle on, the metal was torn and screws wouldn't thread. Spent £62 on that and now refunded.

I've no clue about lawn mowers, this is double what I was going to spend - is there value in this? Have a medium front and back garden, front is flat, back is hilly.

Cheers for any help you can give!

The B&Q compare feature is NOT very helpful! :)

I noticed similar problems with the metal holes for the screws on this model. They'd been "stapled" but hadn't come out so need a pen/screwdriver to pry them out.

As some of the other reviews have stated the instruction manual is rubbish. Just a few pictures and you're left having to do a bit of "guess work" with it when putting it together. And the dispose container is the most awkward flimsy piece of sht I've ever seen! But once you've put it together properly and clipped all the connectors together it shouldn't come loose.

And once up and running very happy with it. Having seen how small the 370 was instore I wouldn't go with anything smaller than 40cm. I have both front and rear garden (rear is 25m x 10m, front 10m x 10m) and took me about 20 minutes to do them both.

Although I did manage to go run over the cable at the end but I that's easily fixed with a 2pin connector which you can pick up for £4.

Its a great mower for £125 but I dont think its worth its RRP £175.

Thanks for the reply PVD, I had hoped that this more expensive model would have had a better handle design. Wasn't surprised at the cheap design given the price I'd paid but for £125 I'd expect better than threads that don't thread.

I think the handles and casing are very similar on all the models, probably all made in the same Thailand sweatshop. The main difference is the motor and blades which is what you're paying the extra for.
When I was assembling it, it did cross my mind to take it back as it looked cheap and nasty, and assembling it seemed impossible, but once its put together and I did my first line of mowing I was more than happy with it.

Nice and light and has no problem doing my medium rear and small front gardens. I'd buy it again for £125 but wouldnt touch it at £175RRP

Good buy in my opinion. Picked one up yesterday from Willenhall B&Q after my old Bosch 340 gave up after 2 years. Have to say it's a great machine and I can notice the difference between this and my old Bosch. Cuts a lot more and has a greater wattage power too. Definitely worth the buy at £125 considering Amazon and other retailers have this near the £170 mark. Only negative thing to say about this is assembly, which took forever because the instruction manual is soooo bad as OP has stated. Other than that a superb lawnmower! Nice find OP!!
