Designed to be compact and powerful, the Tassimo Vivy utilises intelligent barcode technology to ensure the optimal drink quality every time. Bosch's Intellibrew system identifies the drink selected and adjusts the water, temperature and brewing time accordingly to deliver all of your coffee shop favourites at the touch of a button.

A 5 LED light interface keeps you up to date with machine's statue, letting you know exactly when the water tank needs refilling or when a machine requires a descale. The removable 0.7 litre water tank combines with Flow Heater Technology to ensure almost no heat up time, making the machine ready to brew drinks when you are.

An automatic cleaning and descale program makes looking after your Bosch machine easier than ever. There are over 35 different varieties of drinks available including espresso, latte, cappuccino, teas and hot chocolate.

Bought one in John Lewis yesterday at £35 including 2 year warranty.
#5
Yes it's £35 in John Lewis, was in there myself on Tuesday and saw it - great with the warranty! Also £35 in Currys :)
#6
Think alot of places have reduced them down and £35 is the magic number. Good buy though - Thanks x
#7
Currys too.. £35 is all its worth really.
#8
Currys have them at same price but good find op

All these type of coffee machines seem expensive for what you actually get. Apart from the convenience of just popping in the sachet, can't justify the cost against a cafetiere or the old fashioned percolator.

Cancelled my order as 6 days later and still not dispatched.

heat added - thank you

Just enjoying a nice latte right now, good machine.

Good machines, but they don't make profit on them, it's the pods, cost a fortune, massive profits there.

I think, for the price, this is a great machine. got mine two weeks ago for £39 (Amazon).

I also got the selection box of different drinks (22 different drinks I think) - working my way through them (just an idea - as there are so many capsules to use ... I take pictures of the ones I really like, so that I can refer back to them when it comes time to order some replacements)

I also bought the Costa Cappuccino box of discs too - these taste not bad at all.

I fill a mug half full with milk (normally semi-skimmed for me) and chuck this mug in the microwave for 2 mins. Then place this cup of milk under the Bosch - to add the final touch - the coffee.

Seems to produce a very decent cuppa.

The machine seems to produce no mess - I have had no need to really give it a clean as of yet.

Difference between all of the tassimo machines is water capacity, a couple of them have water filters, one has an lcd display and a cup stand light and one has Intensify presets.

Some of the more expensive ones have shiny bits but they all work the same.

Keep your eye on the barcode scanner bit, I had one that stopped working and found that it wasn't able to read the barcodes...quick wipe and we were back

i got 48 drinks for a tenner in asda last night. i wouldnt call that a fortune really...

the trick is to never buy them at full price. theres is always a supermarket with them on offer pretty much all year round. thats how i keep stocked anyway. enjoy !
#25
Tesco has the tassimo drinks on offer at mo too. Cheaper than buying in bulk on Amazon

Water tank too small - 2 mugs and you're filling it up again!

You should regard that as a positive feature, as we all know too much coffee, especially very good coffee, isn't good for the heart, and having to make the effort to refill the water tank offsets, slightly, the negative effects of the coffee. lol

Don't forget £5 off £40 code PRICELES5 if you want to use it with this you'd effectively get another £5 worth of something on Amazon for free.

PS - voted hot, but coffee nowhere near as good as Hotpoint Illy machine or Nespresso.
#29
Good-thanks.

I've found the tassimo to be a lot cleaner than the dolce gusto machines. more variety too, although the cappuccino isn't quite as nice.

The Costa cappuccino doesn't fill a mug for me. Anyone know how to use the Tassimo to top up the water? Something about holding the button on the instructions but didn't seem to work.

on mine when the drink process has finished the light shifts to the cup+ logo for a brief time. at that point you can hold the button and hot water dispenses until you let go

Is that before you add the milk pod? Added the milk pop first assuming I'd top up once I knew how full the mug was (milk and coffee pods).

Use the milk pod, then the coffee pod, once the machine has made the steam noise at the end (and the coffee is not coming out) hold the button down for 5 seconds, water will start to come out until you let it go... (let it go!!)

Also available in Costco alongside discounted pods. £13 for 40 pods. 40 cups of homebrew coffee for that price doesn't seem like a particularly good deal though.

Thats a real difficult one because it is such an opinionated subject, but if you are a "normal" or light/regular coffee drinker as I am I have found Tassimo to be the closest to Starbucks at home, but a lot of people rate the Dolce Gusto ones as well. I would start with this and upgrade if you have any need to. I am the only person who uses ours so I wouldn't want a bigger water tank as I refill with fresh water every day.
