My Dolce Gusto packed up the other day and I was tempted to pick up the TAS65 which has been reduced to £99 at Argos until this little beauty popped up in my inbox today.

Was also tempted by a standalone Espresso machine with a Steamer but all the sub-£100 models seemed to froth the milk rather than steam/heat it.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, I need a coffee.

Can you use the discount code with reserve and collect?

Cracking deal, Cracking coffee! I haven't boiled a kettle for 6 months but the pods are a bit expensive. Saying that, you get what you pay for, the Starbucks is superb! I will buy one of these at this price for when my one packs up as it gets hammered!

No - doesn't look like you can I'm afraid. I think you can still get 3% Quidco on Reserve and Collect if that's any help?
#5
Having been given a Braun Tassimo machine, i've started to wonder if the cost of the machine is irrelevant over the long run, as the cost of the pod discs will probably far outweigh it during it's life time. The Senseo pods seem about half the price, but I don't know how they compare in quality.
#6
Quidco has tracked at £1.89 bringing this down to £52.10.

These are great coffee machines (we have them at work). Ordered & voted HOT!!!
£89.40 @ amazon ;-)

Enter this codes 10COFFEE will give you 10% off.

Can you use this as just a simple water heater (ie you don't HAVE to use a pod?)

I'd need that to still make tea with good old teabags or to get a simple cup of boiling water!
#10
it comes with a "cleaning" disc (pod) from memory which just allows the user to run a cycle with just heated water, hopefully another user will confirm, you vcan however buy tea discs for it but they make a very expensive cup of tea...
#11
Ordered thanks op i will leave heat and rep.Where is the cheapest place to buy the discs? Also does the machine come with any to get you started?

Edit My Quidco has tracked at £2.10 Payable £51.89

T-discs are about the same price all over (£3.19 - £3.99 depending on type) unless a store is clearing out old stock. the cheapest is the Starbucks house blend which is actually only a half pack (8 T-discs rather than 16) and those are £1.88 in asda or £1.95 in Morrisions and Tescos.
#13
www.mysupermarket.co.uk might be a good place for comparing the price of the Pods from Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and Ocado.

If you have milk in your coffee heat it up in the microwave before putting in the machine makes it taste loads nicer
#17
Mine's been dispatched already - wasn't expecting to see it until next week at least.

Great buy, heat added, just gutted I bought mine in Black last night for £69.99. Anyone know of any website that sell the tassimo discs cheaper??? Just ordered a load from www.tassimo.co.uk but not really any cheaper than supermarket and ebay works out more with the postage!

It certainly does, stored conviently in the rear of the unit. However, I'm not sure if this disc just invokes a cup of hot water, or whether other processes kick off when the machine reads the cleaning barcode. Tainted water and would be useless for making traditional tea.....anyone?
#25
The Nescafe Gusto or this one, which is better?
#26
Can anyone confirm does it make tea?

Thanks
#27
Yes you can get tea pods, or do you mean just the hot water ?

Sorry should have clarified does it allow for just hot water to boil a tea bag?

Thanks
#29
Yes if you put in a cleaning disk it produces hot water only,
#30
This is a great deal, does anyone know any more cheaper places for t discs?
#31

Thats the old model, your better getting the new BOSCH Tassimo TAS6515GB Multi-Beverage Machine - with Brita filter, it makes a lot of difference, the milk is frothier, and not as noisey.

They have half price offers on this occasionally, so wait a bit if you can.
#38
Cheers, ordered and used 10% code no probs
#39
purchased and code accepted no prob, thank you

Heat/Rep given!

Purchased a Bosch T65 Tassimo from Argos a week ago for £99.99 (down from £139.99, which made it the same price as the model down - T40). A family member wanted an item for £3.99 which qualified me for a free £10 gift card. :-D Thought I got a pretty good deal until I searched previous ones posted on here. Back around the middle of Dec, Argos were selling the T65 for...£67.49!

So far tried the following drinks:

Cappuccino - Not great imo. Froth disappears within minutes of the drink being made!
Milka Hot Chocolate - Very nice imo, frothy and chocolatey!
Suchards Hot Chocolate - Nice (16 drinks out of a packet instead of usual 8) but prefer taste and froth of the Milka one!

Cheekster.
