Practical and convenient, the Tassimo Multi-Beverage Machine, which comes in silver and black, has a range of settings that ensure there's a drink for everyone.

A barcode system and manual adjustment ensure you get the perfect drink every time, while the flow heater technology means that you don't have wait for it to heat up, ideal for those mornings when you are running late.

The flow heater makes the Tassimo MultiBeverage Machine highly energy efficient too, good for your conscience and your pocket. This MultiBeverage Machine also saves you cleaning time thanks to its dishwasher safe parts and its automatic de-scaling system. This ergonomic design is incredibly useful too as it allows for different cup sizes, provides cable storage and includes an easy-fill water tank.

Features:
System Capsule system
Capacity (in cups) 2 litres
Aroma selector Yes
Information/control Digital display No
Programs Cafe creme, espresso, latte, macchiato, cappuccino, tea, hot chocolate

The picture needs editing on the OP - it's a little misleading. The picture shows the titanium model with the progress indicator above the dial. This is not the machine being sold.

Sorry - didn't know about that. Have some Heat.

I see someone decide to 'Expire' mine as well. Is that how it works round here?

That is a great looking machine and a good price, but if you are a coffee addict like me and at home most days, doesn't it work out an expensive way to brew coffee? Are you locked in to buying 'pods'?:?
#13
What kind of coffee does this take? Is it propriatry capsules like the Nespresso or just any shop bought ground coffee/beans?
#14
It's capsules mate, though they're manufactured by a few companies like Kenco, Suchards, Twinings, Starbucks etc.

Yeah it takes pods, there's quite a few choices and the coffee is lovely but I'm like you, at home most of the day and it works out pretty expensive. Also, each pod only makes a rather small cup of coffee equal to about half of a normal household mug size. I loved this little machine, bur had to let her go cause she was costing so much and not producing enough to feed my caffeine habit! Have voted hot though for the price.

pods are not the way to go imho - way too expensive in the long run

pods = more rubbish :x

good deal though

Good price for the machine. Keep an eye on ebay for occassional deals on the T discs

Tassimo own website has best choice of all the varieties (and there are loads) and free delivery over £30. Also their Kenco decaf is cheaper than Tesco's by about 40p a box so actually works out cheaper than the supermarket on that one

Expensive way of drinking coffee all day long but as an occassional drinker (morning and evening) it works out fine, and the only way you will try so many different coffees

very easy to clean and maintain

Not the model on sale. Please amend

Personally think people are mad to buy these - go buy a gaggia instead or something similar - then you are not tied to any brand/pod for making your coffee, just buy some ground coffee or fresh beans and a grinder and away you go, much nicer than these pods, can make longer/shorter drinks etc dependant on requirements...these are just posh coffee granules for the techno generation....

I have one of these - got it for an xmas present would you believe. Great when i first started using it but the pods are far to expensive and myine doesnt heat up the water very much so its often not vcery nice :(

I have the older style one, but the parts look pretty much the same. The drip cup comes out, so you can wash it or put it in the dishwasher. The bit where the pods go isn't the easiest thing to clean though.

think you have the one that Curry's are selling. It's not the one pictured. not sure why this hasn't been changed yet as it's very misleading. The one pictured is approx £139.99.

They are good but the pods are too pricey. The long run you end up paying a fortune. Ours is now put away and never used.

i picked this up the other day and it is great the only difference in the pic above is mine dosent have the little cup piccy the under where it says bosch :)

Absolutely - but if you're a coffee addict, you value great coffee over a cheap price !

Yes these are expensive to run, but they produce a great drink with no effort whatsoever. You pays your money you makes your choice - I'm quite happy to pay the running costs of mine.

We bought one of these recently in Costco, it was the model with the LCD display and cost about £90 if I remember. Was a bit of an impulse after having had so many different grounds fed types of machine.

These are great if you don't want the hassle of cleaning a machine all the time, and are not drinking gallons of coffee. With ground coffee or beans the price they are and having a limited shelf life once open I have found this machine really useful.
I have tried various types on offer, and have now settled on a morning brew and an afternoon brew etc.. although the Carte Noir Colombian disc in a glass with a shot of Bailey's is pretty habit forming.

In addition the other day I picked up some packs of the Kenco standard brew (16 pods a pack) on a roll back price of £1. At that price it's cheap.
As for the size of the drink, yes different packs seem to give diofferent volumes, most of the outers actually havd the size indicated in mls, however if you want a larger drink you can just hold the button in?

On the waste front.. www.terracycle.co.uk is a must.. shame the pods can't be reused.

Farmergiles may have mentioned that once or twice ;-)

The Starbucks blend is a nice drop with just enough kick and the carte Noire coffees have a generally pretty good coffee taste. Bottom line is, stronger the coffee the less liquid in the cup generally so try some different ones out. They do state the cup size on the side so you can get an idea
I find the Petit Dejeuner is an Ok morning coffee with a decent size cup as is the Kenco regular blend
Ristretto makes a nice latte and don't bother with the Macchiato abnd Tiramasu etc i find them too sickly and sweet. As someone else said a drop of Baileys in your favourite blend is particularly yummy. Also a bo of Sucard discs in the cupboard is nice added to an expresso with a bit of milk

At least one person noticed! Thanks P.E!

Thanks very much OP. I picked one up last night.

I know a proper coffee machine is better, but i can't be naffed with it half the time, and my GF likes the chocolates.
#32
I've had mine for 5 years now and it's still going strong. Some of the pods are better than others - The Starbucks blend being my favourite at the moment. about £1.70 for 8 pods in this case so it's pretty dear compared to plain old granules but it tastes as good as those one-cup filter things.

Great price for the new style / model. Heat added.

Edit: Would have added heat if it hadn't been expired(!)
