I bought this for £95 last year. It's great - I hate ironing and this thing makes it a much easier task. Quite a small iron but has a really smooth stainless steel plate, and the steam is pretty powerful, plus the tank is quite big so you dont have to keep refilling.

Only complaints:
- the iron can be a bit unstable on the base station (mine has fallen twice - and you can't try and catch a falling hot iron!!), but you can take the heat-proof plate off the base station and put it on the ironing board - that works better.
- the iron cant be secured onto the base station for transporting (my old tefal one did that)
- the steam cord is stored by clipping onto the iron handle - no great deal, but makes it a bit awkward to store if you dont have a lot of space

Worth the money though, you'll never go back to a normal iron!

Dont buy bosch their putting 900 people with mortgages and bills to pay - out of work in Cardiff !!!

Their moving their operations to Hungary - so they can pay minimum wages.

My apologies to op - I just feel strongly about the decimation of Industries in our country - soon what are we going to be left with ?? If we dont have an industrial sector what do we have a financial one ? - no they want to move out as well as their massive bonuses are being reeled in by the government .

I have not voted cold on this though - just letting off steam at Bosch scuse the pun !!

If people want minimum wages, then this is what is going to happen. You can't have your cake and eat it.

I'm venting at the company not at your deal

But whats wrong with a little debate - just looking at the bigger picture.

I am sure you might have a different opinion if you were about to lose your job, or your savings rate goes to 0% or your pension was at risk as there was a massive hole in your schemes. These are the truths for many right now.

The point I am trying to make is that if you take down one sector - such as manufacturing, then
the next government makes massive cuts in public spending which its going to- which equates to public jobs gone and there are massive cutbacks in the financial sector - which are going on all the time with the merger of banks and your local branches dissapperaring , whats going to take the place of these jobs.

Sectors such as the service industries depend on the other sectors being healthy for them theirselves to survive - its a domino effect if one goes down the pan and there's nothing to replace it. The government cant even get its ideas to get on the green manufacturing bandwagon !

Everyone can see this happens from the effect this recession has had from one sector going belly up !!

As a country we give in way to easily to job losses - we should fight harder to hold onto them as
the French do.

We are already being told by analysts that the east will dominate in the near future - would you like this country to become a second or third rate island where it wont matter how good a deal is as you wont have any money in your
pocket to spend !!

We need better long term thinking to survive as a nation.

Its not funny. But whether you buy the iron or not, Bosch arent gonna collapse. Its like boy cotting coca cola for death squads, Mcdonalds for animal cruelty, GM meat, destructive practices in rain forest, Krupps, Vw, Opel, Mercedes, BMW, Siemens, Braun etc for there involvement in Nazi war effort and the building of concentration camps and gas chambers. Boy cotts dont work in this system. So really not much you can do about it.
