Just been into the Stafford store and had a chat, clearance stuff is most definately on a store by store basis. Lots of bosch stuff has already been sold today, so none of them, and the MacAllister one seems to be £50 in mine. Also despite reserving one of the torx toolkits the last one was reserved just before me so I didn't get it, bah!

But am I annoyed? Am I ****! I managed to get a Black and Decker 18v hammer drill with spare battery for £30 instead. Well impressed, and would not have got this if it wasn't for your post, so heat from me despite getting a different item!

More bargains today! They have a new section up with Ryobi cordless stuff on show, so all the old MacAllister display equipment was reduced. No boxes etc. but I got:

MSS200 sander - £2
MAG600-115 Angle grinder - £3
MJS500L jigsaw - £2
MHD750-2 hammer drill - £5

They even found the manual for the grinder and sander, and a few sanding sheets. Suitably impressed :D

Got the last one at romford branch yestarday... It's not such a good drill and not such a good screw driver eather!!!! here it's why.

Drill only takes special drill bits called SDS Quick (different from standard SDS) and also you can use hex type drill bits but as you got thru concrete it stop and both light amber and green flashing (not so powerful)

Battery cannot be replaced so not suitable for trades Unless you can wait 3 hours to charge up and carry on working

Screw driver side not so good as it is missing the torque regulator and very difficult to make a perfect job on wood.

I personally prefer my 14.4 v volt dewalt XPS that seams to be much more powerful then this but then again did not cost me £30 and it does weight more then 1.2kg
or hex type screw drivers bits.

I still voted hot because of the price against the market value.
