Passed it to the Laundry boss for reference - she who will be obeyed. It has a sane 1200 spin in lieu of the exagerated 1600 spins that shred the bearings on the horizontal drum axis. Voted Hot.

Picked up the highly Which? rated AEG for £479 at John Lewis if thats any help to anyone. Spins at 1600 and I'll swear it moves the house when it does...

Worth paying extra for a Bosch :) They're very reliable and come with full parts and labour two year manufacturer's warranty as standard

Anyone know, is it condenser tumble dryer?
#5
All combi models are condensor dryers (I believe) :)

My Bosch dishwasher died a week or two out of warranty - the on/off switch failed. However as Bosch use monoblock switches all the switches would have to be replaced at a cost of £115 ex and ex labour too! The repair guy said don't bother, I'll wire it permanently on and you can control it at the wall instead...

Beware of Currys/Dixons innacurate stock levels. I ordered a Bosch washing machine from them 2 weeks ago. A week later they phoned me to tell me they were actually out of stock. A week later I decided on another model (after spending ages deciding) and after another week I got another email saying that they were out of stock again. Needless to say I will be ordering from elsewhere in the future.

wife ordered the washer/dryer which is scheduled for delivery a week today.
excellent buy at £351.00 which includes disposal of our old one.

Spoke to Bosch Customer services this is a condenser washer/dryer and all the waste water from drying is discarded through the washer waste pipe as well. Thanks for this ordered one as our washing machine packed up yesterday

thanks emma - just ordered one myself, being meaning to do this for a while to replace the rather "cheap" and not always working Candy washing machine the builders had thrown in with the house for free ;-)

Just an odd guess: did you take out the transport bolts? Usually the drum is fixed to the back for transport, so that it cannot bang around inside. But when you are washing, you want it softly suspended in the middle of the box.

LOL thanks but yes all installed properly. It really is spectacular at shaking everything.

I really wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Hardly a single wash comes out all clean in contrast to the 20yo Hoover 1300 before it. Tried all sorts of combinations of powder etc. Its just very poor. Though in fairness the spin is so powerful it puts in creases you can barely iron out :-D
