Are these worth it? Will John Lewis pricematch?

No point in noise cancelling unless you travel a lot. Tried a pair at home, and it cut out the noise from my fridge. That's about it. Saying that, I'd love some from Santa.

10 hour flight to Mexico next summer for me. Definately worth it

On a plane this is fantastic. They work best (arguably only) on low pitched droning noises - jet engines as an example... Higher pitched sounds are less good - things like screaming kids are entirely useless...

I bought a pair on release date and can wholeheartedly recommend them. Daily use whilst commuting on train/ tube and am really happy with both noise cancelling and Bluetooth connection to iPhone. Battery charge lasts me about 2 weeks, full charge when down to 10% takes about 2 hours. Sound quality is as you'd expect it from Bose and no "hissing" sound when you use the active noise cancelling (unlike on some of the beats models..). Can also be used wired if you prefer (or obviously when you are on the plane, comes with an adaptor for plane use as well). They also feel very comfortable, so don't mind wearing them for a few hours. Overall very good headphones if you are willing to spend the money.

I would think JL will price match, currys did this offer a couple of weeks ago and I made a price match claim which they accepted

There was no need for that, I didn't even notice he/she mentioned iPhone until you pointed it out.

Mine are under the Xmas tree courtesy of the Mrs. If anyone doesn't mind paying full price you can get these from Argos with an exclusive 5 year guarantee.

Mrs paid about £230 for mine but that included staff and voucher discounts.

When I asked instore, apparently if you reserve online then they will honour the price if you collect next day.

i use a £100 Sony pair and they're amazing. the Bose are the premium. I don't travel allot but walk the dog near a motorway and they're invaluable to me. just beware you'll get wind noise from the mics so I wear a hood to keep the wind off. amazing price for the QC35s wish I could afford a pair. heat
