On Dixons.co.uk they are selling the Bose SoundDock Portable (In black only) for only £199 elsewhere they normally retail at £299. I picked up a pair for £179 with the 10% code CHRISTMAS10 - Which unfortunately was only valid till 6pm on christmas day. On the website the title only says SoundDock but if you read the description and look at the picture it is the portable version.

They charge and play all the new and old iPods, and is compatible with iPhone (Only on Airplane Mode)

Bargain Deal, The series 2 sounddock retails at £219 so i think this might be a mistake on Dixons half....oh well....buy before they realise!

That's the normal model which does not have the rechargeable battery so it will have to be plugged in to be used, but the one listed is the portable.

HMV in Glasgow were selling this for £169 the other day. Prices will probably fall in many shops soon.

Good price for top quality sound dock ! Looking for a dock myself but not got that much to spend £40-£60

Good dock, but massively overprived even after the reduction, like all Bose stuff. I'd avoid and find something similar for less.

I've got this. Paid £100 and it's worth every penny. Read the reviews further down the page, it's not just me singing it's praises.

You've obviously not heard many speakers then. Bose are massively overpriced for what you get. Normally you get a very nice design but in this case you don't even get that.

I'd go for this myself. Better sound a better design.
