These have great sound. Bought one last year as was not disappointed.

Have to agree, I was very sceptical about premium brand Bluetooth speakers. After owning a few cheaper brands I got one of these and have been amazed at the quality of sound.

The mint colour has been lower I think, £69?

I've owned the best in the range and also this one. I was sceptical whether it would sound anything alike, and it does. great sound.

Mint colour was indeed 69 recently including the case but I missed out - snapped up the Harman Kardon black yesterday for £40 which I believe to have a better bluetooth implementation as well as being able to charge external kit and act as a conf phone.

I saw this in the Bose store on Regent Street last week - nice little unit if that's what you're after.

Did you receive the Harman Kardon speaker? It seems they are cancelling orders and refunding the money...

Not heard anything to the contrary as yet, they've got my money and confirmed the order - I ordered the black one off their website directly and that was before it was posted on HUKD.

But they do look nice. I'm thinking of the soundtouch 10, as it can do multi-room. was gutted that I missed out on the sound touch wireless that was only £69.99 last week, it would have brought my Denon seperates system up-to-date. (cost me £1250 in 1996)

Agree - even on Amazon questions, owners were unable to locate on the product. It's weird! This or UE Megaboom?

3500 watts from a single AAA battery...
sorry but it's pointless to know this from such portable speaker.

These produce excellent sound, miles better than a Kitsound Hive 2 that I compared it to (although 4 times the cost).

I'm wondering if the Anker a3143 is a better buy, half the cost for almost as good sound from what I can tell, courtesy of Oluv/clavinetjunkie:

My local Currys (clacton) had them on clearance for £60. No idea on quantity colour or whether it was the display model. I owned one and was happy with it however my daughter had a jbl charge (i think that was the model it was just below the pulse) and the jbl had the overall edge.

I've had both. Picked my Soundlink Color up from local Grainger Games last year for £40, in what appeared to be brand new condition. It is absolutely fabulous in terms of build quality and sound - which is akin to the single-speaker mono radios of old, where they actually sounded good and weren't just built to look nice.

This is the best Bluetooth speaker I've ever owned. I got the JBL Charge ages back in an Amazon Lightning deal and that too is impressive, although I felt this had the edge in terms of form factor and overall reliability. It's nice that the Bose can store multiple devices and switch between them by just tapping the Bluetooth button.

These have the same internals and speakers from what I can tell, there are some teardowns which shows the innards. But I'd agree the mini soundlink is a very solid metal case, that looks and more importantly sounds great.

I don't think Bose list the output power anywhere but seems to recall it's reckoned to be about 12 watts rms in total - now this sounds low, but power output ratings are a minefield, often qouted as PMPO (power max power output) which is usually the theoretical maximum the speaker can achieve for a brief period of time at a given frequency (eg 1 second at 5Khz)

If you can test the unit and hear for yourself, you'll be very surprised how well and loud these perform for such a small size. Never buy speakers/audio gear based on output figures alone.....

It has the power for that size of room but using as an air conditioner to cool the room, I suspect it's quite poor
