IT'S ANOTHER BOSTON WITH A WHOLE LOTTA STARS.
Fresh from a 5-Star review, the Boston Acoustics A26 speakers have continued the success of their little brothers - and it's not hard to see why. Slightly larger than the A25 but a whole lot more powerful, these speakers really do offer exceptional scale for their size. Thanks to a high quality cabinet and drive units plus extensive tuning, the A26's are pretty special.
TUNED CABINET
The cabinet may be compact but, thanks to the acoustically tuned bass reflex port, it delivers a surprisingly powerful and full-bodied bass. The profiled edges also help to sharpen the soundstage, giving a great sense of realism. As a neat finishing touch, the grilles attach magnetically for a clean, uncluttered appearance.
LARGER BASS CONE FOR ADDED CLOUT
Helping to provide both powerful bass and realistic mid-range is the 6.5 inch ceramic/glass fibre polymer woofer. Using what Boston Acoustics call a DCD (Deep Channel Design) woofer chassis, provides the A26 speakers with extended cone travel and, therefore, the potential for powerful bass from a small cone. Matching this impressive bass unit is an equally fine treble unit. Boston's Kortec soft dome tweeter helps give the A26's the perfect balance between detail and refinement at the top end.
HANDSOME TRANSATLANTIC STYLE
Finished in a smart, contrasting, gloss and matte black, the A26s will fit in harmoniously with most hi-fi systems. For a compact speaker that punches well beyond its weight yet does so with refinement, the Boston Acoustics A26 is another Boston class-leader.
Was looking at these and the dali zensor 1 for a stereo setup, the a26's are a step above imo.

Glad it was of use to someone who knows a good deal when they see it! ;)
