If you paid via card and select no substitutions, are they allowed to charge more than what you've paid online? I didnt think they could.....??

Even so, if they do, just refuse delivery!

Those items reduced to 1p in Tesco are for the store to waste, though I have managed to purchase quite a few items for 1p in the past - like i said it is a punt.
They will charge your card the morning of the delivery, thus i'll check my online banking, and if it's more I will phone CS as they usually credit you the difference, otherwise refuse delivery and get a full refund.
What i'm actually expecting is a call to say the store is out of stock lol
#7
Yep I think they'll charge you the instore price!

Worth a try.... but if lots of peeps abuse it then it will be pulled sharpish

I've added 4 to my order, but also have 4 x 4 packs of Tescos own as back ups.... just incase they dont send them

Why do people have to take advantage of stuff like these? Why not just order one or two....

Also, aren't tesco deals supposed to be posted in the tesco deals thread, not a seperate thread???

99? Are you planning to use it as wallpaper?

:giggle: Very funny, I wonder if bounty is really that strong
#11
Well it says this when you order: Important message:

This is a guide price only. Product prices may change in store between now and when your order is delivered
#12
One or two is hardly worth ordering considering you have to pay £4 - £5 delivery is it, now I wouldn't mind paying a fiver delivery if the total order is £6 for 99 twin pack, but I'm not going to risk it, they'll probably send one or two & say the rest were out of stock & charge £6 for a couple of packs, which would be a waste of money.

I think your missing the point slightly.... The idea isn't just to order one or two like you said.

But if your ordering your shopping or something else from tesco you could add this in. Maybe a few wouldn't be noticed as much as ordering 99 and that's it !!

It spoils it for everyone else and rather than getting a bargain for a few , ordering this way is counter productive

Thankyou, that was exactly what I meant!

If they do honour the 'offer' then they likely to only bring you 10 anyway.
In my local Tescos for online shopping they will only give you 10 of the same item,a few yrs back I used to order 40 tins of Heinz Veggie Sausages and Beans as it was 1 of the very few things my son would eat at the time,he used to have around 1 or 2 tins a day and I used to get a shop about every 3-4 wks,I wondered why they would only bring me 10 and said 30 unavailable.Eventually after several months a note was put on the back of the list they give you saying we regret you cna only have 10 of same item.
I think there is also a limit of how many actual items you can order too,but I can't remember what it is. This goes for my local store so maybe the same thing applies elsewhere

So do I...we have a dog who uses more than we do!!
However I did try the Bounty once (free packet) and they did seem quite good.
#22
I usually buy 4 or 5 packs of bounty / lotus rolls as I do my shopping every 3 weeks or so - so to add them on to my order was no big deal

If they come - yay!
If not- oh well.........

Hi, Good find.
Ordered some but not a ridiculous amount as no doubt the order won't be honored.

Voted hot.
#24
why would u want 99 kitchen rolls in one delivery theres zero chance you will get them, you said yourself theyre goign to be out of stock....why didnt u order five and then u might have had a small chance of getting them. voted cold for your selfishness and greed
#25
How much are they normally?

I was under the impression we were supposed to vote on the quality of the deal...and not as an expression of our judgement of someone else's behaviour?
#27
yes but how can we vote on the deal if it only lasts untill sum1 has ordered 99 of them and the price is noticed and changed and no1 else is available to take part in this deal?

...but that's 99% of every mis-price on here?
...and it's the price in store that sets the actual price charged so it's arbitrary any how...they'll all come at £1.99
#29
just ordered 25, u just never know your luck now do yer!

Just bought 8 packs instore(£12) for 8p:-D
#32
This morning the product has been withdrawn from sale in the store where I work.
#33
I find it incredible that anyone would vote this cold, get a grip !.:x
#34
99 kitchen rolls wouldn't even fit in one delivery van anyway.
#35
just wondered, if you refuse delivery does everything including delivery charge gets refunded?

Yeh it does

Thanks robot1000, I'm just gonna order 10 and see what they send, I'll reject it if necessary. One more thing, I'm new to this grocery shopping online, do the drivers get annoyed if you reject? Also, I guessing they give you a receipt when they delivery and you have to sign to accept?

Probably the same idiots who usually vote cold because there isn't a branch near where they live.
#39
Just be careful that you do actually get a refund when sending stuff back with the driver.I rejected an item (£10) and the driver didn't have a machine to do refund. He said he would do it when he got back to depot.Checked my card account about a week later....no refund.Rang CS who said that they had no record of driver refunding my money.Said they would contact the store for the to do the refund.Checked again the following week......no refund.Called them again and CS rep just refunded me there and then.

I never got a receipt for retuned item and never signed anything and never got refund.(see my previous post)
