Good price for a decent pair of on ear headphones. I paid full price at John Lewis a couple of years ago. Only criticism is that high volume seems to be fairly limited.:{

They're the same price at John Lewis too, in the off chance Amazon sell out.

If you've been looking for these headphones to drop in price then now is a good time to buy them. However, in my personal experience having tried a very large number of the popular premium portable headphones on the market over the last few years, these are simply not a very good pair. They were a poorly conceived attempt at miniaturising the already-overrated P5s and the result was a mediocre, muddy mess of a sound signature. If you wanted a premium on-ear headphone then for about £20 more you can pick up the far superior Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear 2.0, or even the newer Series 2 version of the P3s (which supposedly are a large improvement, especially at the high end. I have not tried them personally, but I have greatly enjoyed everything B&W have made since the P7s so have no reason to doubt that), or the revered Sennheiser HD25-1 II (the best sounding and best built of the bunch, but the least comfortable and stylish). Hell, for that £20ish extra the Beats Solo 2 are a worthy consideration (and this coming from somebody who would have vomited a little in his mount if I had to recommend Beats a couple of years ago). If £100 is the absolute cap on spending, I would sooner get the Onkyo ES-CTI300(BS).

You missed out the P5 series 2.....these are impressive[uses p7 parts] if you can get a good price on them. Don't waste your time with the P3 there are better at a similar price

Having had a pair for the past 6 months I can honestly say they are a truly fantastic set of headphones.

I most definitely wouldn't say they are a "poorly conceived attempt at miniaturising the already overrated P5s"

As for the sound - once they are broken in they are tremendous.

£99 = heat

Like I said, everything that's been released since the P7s has been great (I use the P7s myself as my main portable over-ear), which includes the P5 Series 2.
