They have an offer of £2.00 per ream for the HP paper which is pretty good, took an outer box to checkout and scanned the Barcode on the outer box of the 5 reams and it came up as :- "BOX OF PAPER 314172500145 £8.81"
thats £1.76 per ream for HP paper. Probably like last time - whilst stocks last! Bought 2 boxes for £17.62 5000 sheets - last as long as my toner cartridge - fantastic!

Was that Tesco?

I'm happy just getting one ream for £2 (Can't be bothered storing the other 4 reams for a nominal saving, cheers OP. I'm a HP fanboy!!!

If you miss out on this, then if you know a Costco member, ask them to check out their Costco warehouse for similar type deals.

No it was Asda, seems 4 reams not 5 though, although HP boxes were 2p too might have been these 5 ream ones. obviously they realised and raised the price a bit.

Fair play.

I was about to comment that £1.76 per ream isn't a big deal for 80gm paper bought in 5 ream boxes but then I checked the Viking and Neat Ideas sites. Has something happened to paper prices since I bought my last box of 90 gm paper (£2.50 per ream) or are these firms having a laugh? It seems that at £1.76 per ream including vat we should be beating down the doors! Voted hot.

saw this last week and did not think much of it - carried a box to the check out to check the price - 2p finger crossed......

no luck it was 8.81 like the thread said but this offer was from last week - is this a old thread

I thought they priced it wrong so tried the local store here and sadly it was 2 bucks and 8.81

I guess after paying 2p - 3p is too expensive.

If anyone missed the offer £2 is good

cheers

Asda have done this deal recently (around September / October last year), as I bought a couple for the office - a great price and decent paper. Will have a look in Chelmsford over the weekend for some more.

I bought a box a few days ago. In the ASDA i went to they had stacks of individual reams for £2 each, and at the end of a different isle had these boxes and price on the shelf saying £8.81.
Good price, but obviously not as hot as the 2p 90gsm deal

£1.76 a ream is cheap - i cant buy cheap "unbranded" paper for that normally - i noticed VIking has gone up in price for lots of things including Niceday laser labels last set of 4 page labels was 7.99 now they start at about £12.99 upwards

Yes saw it one day and then they never had anymore back in stock

Just bought a box from ASDA at Handsworth (Sheffield) and it went through at £9. More expensive than the offer suggests but I'm still not complaining! Good deal!

I had mine in Swansea Store, and it went through at £8.81 - just a few pence more then -but cheaper than £2 per ream - what they are selling them for individually:thumbsup:

I agree, I think we are Taxed enough on everything - so No extra taxes on paper.

Despite buying 2 boxes - i dont print stuff off the internet like receipt and documents for my own use i just save them as pdf's. I reuse reduce and recycle - religiously!

I work for a charity and I produce some documents for them, for conferences and events. So the cheeper that I can produce documents means more money goes into helping people in real need

SO NO MORE TAX FOR ME :x

went into 3 asda stores last week to look for the 2p deal on paper but was out of luck :(
maybe will be able to find this one!! x

They had loads of reams in at Stoke (Woolstanton) but no boxes :( Still, he reams are £2.00 each which is a decent price.

It looked like the expiry date for the offer was 31/12/2009.

Was in Asda today, had to restack loads of individual packs so that I could get a box out and when I got to the till the code wouldn't scan and I was told that they are only sold individually. I know I have bought a box before from a different branch about 4 months ago but the woman said she would have to open and scan them seperately. I didn't have time to wait for her to open up the box as I was in a rush so just left it but will try back again next time I am passing. I did use the self scan till though, don't know if it would have been ok if I had gone to a normal till, but queues were to big to wait and try. No luck for me!!:x
#33
I used self scan, but had to await approval for a visual check! and i bought another box went through usual checkout - no problem there either, perhaps Asda have got wise to the difference between box and individual reams and deleted the barcode of the system:-(
