When I tried to order this for collect in store the web pages errored at the point where it gives you your collect ref number. Took me around 8 tries before it would work.
Advise you to take a print of the offer page too if going for this, it has to be an error ;-)
Thanks to the op!

I think you may be right bghunter.

I noticed this on the second product ID you posted.

price inc vat £2.49 save over £0 was £3.29
So not really a saving of £0.80? Okay ;)
#7
I'm sure this is the price per ream, with a special offer of 5 reams for the price of 4

However, the site only allows me to order 3!

Guys, please execuse my ignorance, what exactly is this?

Is this printing paper (normal A4 paper) or is it something else?

Your help is much appreciated.

Yes 1 ream = 100sheets normally, and the pack advertised looked like 5reams for £2.49.

The one i reserved was one extra large ream it seemed of 500sheets for £2.49
#10
out of stock now :-( I just needed some!
#11
From the box it looks like 2500 sheets, i.e. 5x500 sheet reams, which is what they generally are. Although the price is way too low for that, unless it's a misprice. 2500 sheets of 80gsm A4 paper is about £20ish, maybe as low as £15 sometimes (I think Viking-direct do it at that price).

If someone picks it up today or tomorrow, be sure to let us know!

???? A ream of paper is 500 sheets :geek: . Don't know where you've been buying reams with only 100 sheets in, but if you have you've been ripped off.:giggle:

A ream is 500 sheets!

You can buy a ream (500 sheets) of 80gsm copier paper for £1.94 or £2.14 from tesco (price depends on store)
#14
Definitely out of stock.
#15
LMFAO
Yes premier is right, I have 2 reams at home and I checked, both are 500 sheets

Looks like what I reserved was just 2x500sheets then, won't bother with that.

For London: Stock at London City and Tottenham Court Road:thumbsup:

Thanks everyone for the prompt reply, I've reserved one. They're sitll available in Milton Keynes, Stevenage and Luton and the three places are close to where I live. I will pick it up on my way home tonight and let you all know what happened (and what it is). Just in time, I really needed some printing paper ;-)
[mod]#18
Dont rush in for this, I just tried it in my local store and they wanted to sell me 3 reams not 3 boxes. Tried it on with the offer page printout but he was having none of it. I told him to put it back and I will shop at Tesco's ;-)
#19
This is not a good deal. Tesco sell a "value" range paper 80gsm for £1.94 Reaam (500 sheets). Even with the deal of buy 5 reams get 1 free it works out more expensive from PC world...
#20
It says on the page:
5 reams for the price of 4 for £2.49!
Still some left in Sheffield and have reserved some...but are they likely to honour it?
It's a 5 mile drive...is it worth a try?
#21
I think what you will find your getting here is one ream, and if you buy 5 of them, you get one free, or something.

Just me guessing though. To the person who said viking direct, £20 for a box of plain basic copier paper? I get 8 boxes for under 50 quid on euroffice.
#22
Just reserved 2, will pick up tonight - I called PC World to double check, and the guy on the phone said it was 5 reams for £2.49...

Do you have a link?

The best I can see at euroffice is 8 boxes (40 reams) for £68.15 including VAT & free delivery

http://www.euroffice.co.uk/itm_show.asp?G11692=5+Star+Value+Copier+Paper+A4+80gsm

I can get 10 boxes (50 reams) from Vikingdirect for £58.00 including VAT & delivery
Product code: Y28-9537 (sorry not sure how to link direct from their site)
#24
Don't bother guys. I just tried to pick up 3 boxes and its £2.49 per ream (500 sheets) not per box. I showed then the printout of the offer and even pointed out that there is no way to order more than 3 items on the net so how on earth was I suposed to get the 'buy 4 get one free" offer.

Customer services number is 0870 2420 444.
I'm going to complain as they didn't have a chair I reserved too and it was a complete waste of time.

Centurion when i click through on your link i get someone elses details ie a ladys name and a manchester phone number don't know if its yours but might be worth changing the link.

Definitely out of stock.

Not in Bedford, I just made a reservation. If it is for a single ream then they may keep it :giggle:

EDIT: After reading the rest of this thread I've decided not to bother, sounds too hit and miss.
#28
This IS single reams. It's not a box of 5 reams. It's not a misprice. So your better off going to Tesco to but a ream cheaper!

Thanks for the info, just checked this and I just get normal link, don't know who the details you mentioned belong to.
#30
For the record, I fully believed that this was for a single ream but PC World can not argue if someone claimed a full box for this price based on the picture on the original link. Notably PC World haven't taken down the picture of the box and replaced it with a single ream of paper or changed the details.

Me too, I went to the store in Luton to pick it up, to find five reams waiting for me but priced at £2.45 * 5. I also showed them the picture on the web site but they said it's a mistake and apologized for the picture being misleading, and obviously refused to honour it.
#38
So it would appear that they are fully aware that they are misleading people yet still fail to change the picture or the details on their website :x

I suggest people fill this in and let PC World know what you think about them
#39
I also went into the store and they tried to give me 3 reams and not 3 boxes. The staff were very rude and I travelled a total of 26 miles to collect. I have sent a letter to Head Office with a screen print to let them know what I thought.....
