I have been hunting high and low for a bike for my 4 year old son, most are over the £100 mark, this is by far the cheapest we've seen, hope this helps other people looking for a bike. They also have 3 for 2 on their accessories so handy if you need to buy helmet etc

Features and Benefits:

* Boys bike
* Suitable for 5-7 year olds
* 16" Wheel
* V-Brakes with power adjuster
* Strong steel frame
* Front and rear mudguards
* Cool red and black tyres
* Black alloy wheel rims with wear indicator groove
* Matching Urchin bike accessories available
* Stabilizers are not supplied with this childs bike but are available as a separate accessory.

Those who can afford the initial outlay should consider this. Although it is considerably more expensive resale values are so high that the cost of ownership is likely to be similar. The difference for the child is really significant. Lightweight frame and sturdy, properly sized and designed components make these bikes so much easier and more rewarding to ride.

I had a good look at Isabikes as well, but in the end I just couldn't justify over £230 (inc mudguards) for a bike for my five year old (even though the resale value is almost 80%!). We went for this Urchin bike, it's good quality and it'll do the job, plus we don't have to be too precious with it. It's a better bike than anything else I've seen up to £150. The bike we decided to invest in the future is the 20" one which will see them for a greater number of years.

we weren't going to spend over £100 for our sons bike, its fit for purpose and he'll not appreciate a bike thats expensive. Kids through their bikes around so whats the point in paying over the odds? some people can vote cold, but unless you can find the same thing cheaper then hat off to you
