Purchased a similar item from Argos about 10 years ago. Lid spring broke but no problem, just looked on the Brabantia website, emailed them and returned broken lid. One week later replacement NEW lid arrived did not even have to produced a receipt just told them I had one, which after ten years I didn’t . WOULD RECOMMEND any one to buy Brabantia especially for this price.

isnt 20 litre really small? Im pretty sure our kitchen brabantia is 60 litres and that isnt exactly cavernous.

I think they also put a lot of effort into perfecting the catch mechanism. It's very robust and lasts for years.

you are missing Quality & brilliant customer service-they don't seem to make a big deal about it though.

What a load of rubbish!

They are good quality bins no argument there but 20L is no good for a kitchen IMO it's too small. Better off with the other deal above. Hot price tho.
#20
Sorry thought the other one was 50l, both too small..

I got the 30 Litre one of these from Argos for £33.33 last week. Very nice. 20ltr too small, even for a midget that does not eat.

20 litre is just fine, no having a stinky bin in the kitchen for days on end, plus some may say that if you bin too much you aren't recycling enough of your waste
#28
The only waste that would go in our kitchen bin is used kitchen roll and plastic wrapping everything else gets recycled in its own way, cardboard in green bin, jars/cans in blue box, veg leftovers to the chickens (with the exception of onions and potatoes) peelings to compost, left over food to the dog and cat, chicken bones always go straight out to the main bin double wrapped.

So 20L is plenty big enough as you would want to be emptying every day.
