Shouldnt we compare a Brabantia bin of similar capacity with another Brabantia bin ? These are unbeatable quality with 10 year warranty.. & Tesco's own bin item is OOS :)

Got one of these as a housewarming gift last year, well built and easy to keep clean, Morrisons sell compatable bin liners although not as good quality as the orignal brand, but do the job well.

These bins are worth the premium. The cheapest place I have seen the liners is Wilkinsons. heat

I paid £30 for the better spring loaded lid bin at Homebase last xmas - my g/f has this one but the spring loaded lid ones are better, if you can find one.
#14
I have bought 2 bins which were Brabantia 'copies' and both have broke after not very long, it may be just a bin but it still has a mechanism to open the lid which can easily fail.
This bin will last for years!

my Brabantia 60l (?) bin broke within less than a year. Argos did replace it though.

When i worked in Debenhams when i was younger, Brabantia bins were the best of the best. I often thought they were overpriced, but people would ALWAYS come in and buy them. Only a couple of people would come in each year with complains about the broken mechanism (we would supply them with a replacement part). Before i left, Brabantia began supplying spare mechanisms in the box, so even if yours broke, it could be replaced

Only problem i ever had with them was that Debenhams could NEVER get the liners in. We maybe got a delivery of them once every blue moon. This is the only reason i advised people against purchasing them as not even the big supermarkets were getting them in. I believe this problem has been rectified now.

Very nice looking bins, would look good in my kitchen im sure

ASDA are selling similar 30Ltr bins for only £14.99 just bought one last night..they have it in assorted colours too! :)
#18
good price. i bought the stainless steel one from tescos about 2 months ago for just under £40 (after quidco)

Check out woolworths guys for these too. The one near me has Brabantia bins for £20 roughly, i got 3 mini bins inside by mistake. I asked the counter girl if the contents of bin were meant to be in there. She said yeah but when i got hom i took the mini pedal bins out and they each had a price on them of £14.99

Don't forget to baby oil adds a great shine!

Good deal, good bin. If I can recommend tho' - the push button lid version(lid is black but angled and still classy) of my friends is, I find, better.

I have never used my 3 free Brabantia sacks tho, still have 'em somewhere - might try my arm on ebay!

Excellent price. I have two of the 50L Brabantia bins and they are excellent. Needed a part for one and brantia sent it out within 48hours.

the trouble with these bins is they mark easily as they are chrome and then look hanging!

It is a good product. I've had one of their touch bins for two years now.
Lost the receipt ages ago, but when the mechanism started to stick slightly, I rang Brabantina and told them what happened, they didnt question it and just sent out a new part in the post.

You can't beat Brabantia bins. Any parts break, their support team will have one out to you asap (usually free). Would Recommend them to any one. We've got the "touch open black lid" one. I (or rather the family) prefer the touch open vs the pedal we think it's more hygenic to empty, and use ordinary black bin liners (purchased in bulk from Cash and Carry). But each to their own opinion.

How is the pedal one more hygenic to empty? :?

Sorry the saint. Seem to be having a bad day with my typing ..

What I ment to say was we prefer the touch bin instead of the pedal. We think the touch bin is more hygenic because you just take off lid and tie up the bin liner/bag and dispose. The pedle on the other hand, if I'm not mistaken, comes with the plastic bucket which you insert liner and at some point you'll then have to clean the plastic bucket. Hope this makes sense now.
