A really great price, shame it's not the flat backed one I have been hunting for :-(
#5
excellent bargin bin

You beauty (in a non sexist manner) I have been wanting a proper Bant bin fro ages, just bought a cheap ugly knock off from Argos for £20, just putting on my shoes for a refund.

Was it on 4-6 week delivery when you created the post? For amazon 4-6 weeks means these things usually never come back into stock.

I'm sure if they get enough orders they'll bulk order some more in?
#10
does anyone know if this is quite a big bin?
#11
Also available is the 30litre black on for £22.80

Same waiting time. The 50llitre one is supposed to be huge a bit too big for some people maybe.

£33 for a bin! I think not. Voted very, very cold indeed.

Great deal, thanks! :)

It's a Brabantia, not some Tesco Extra value thing made out of recycled inserts from a Milk Tray box. Only vote cold if you can find it cheaper elsewhere...

Bet nobody bought this at £109.99!

Some may think that, but we have one and it's a great bin and one you certainly wouldn't mind having on display if you don't have a cupboard one!

I know the 30 litre one has a removable inner plastic bucket which makes cleaning easier and the touch lid works brilliant as you just have to give it a tap and it fully opens so you don't get grime all over the lid. It's a bin that would last you for life and doesn't get all scummied up.

Very odd to be so impressed by a bin, but just wanted to stress what a good deal this is!

I paid £40 for the 30litre version last year & it was worth every penny, would never buy a cheap bin again!
#20
which is nearer "normal" size for a bin? I assume the 30l one?

TIA
#21
is it HD ready? and can it be unlocked?

When i bought the 30 litre I thought it looked small, wanted the 50 litre but didnt have space for it, but it does hold more that you think very deceiving, we have a family of 5 and get through 3 or 4 bags a week, so not at all bad.

Have you seen the price of bins of this size and finish for a great deal less? If so, show me where.

Not to mention this has a 5 yr guarantee with it.

This is a great deal, potential delay in delivery aside. Voted red hot.

actually comes with a ten year guarantee. even a generic 50l touch bin in homebase will be more than £33.
I've ordered one for my Mum

I have never been (bin:giggle:) able to understand why some people would be willing to pay for some of these bins - I mean £110 for a bin for gods sake!

This though is a reasonable price.

Thanks for the post - nice price.

Does anyone happen to know whether Brabantia ever managed to resolve the rather well documented problem with the lids on their bins? We had one fail, just through normal use, and judging by comments on the net it's a common problem. A flimsy plastic catch on an otherwise sturdy bin was a big mistake, and must have cost them a fortune in replacements.

I was just eyeing up the 30l version for £36 in BHS and thought that that was a good price. If I hadn't thought it a bit too small for my needs I'd of bought it. This however is fantastic. Heat and rep added - thank you!

Just hope that Amazon do eventually send it. http://www.mediahoard.com/smilies/data/2/3pray.gif

That's a real bargain, thanks for the info on the 30 litre one.

We had one of the 50 litre ones for a around 5 years but my dad managed to break the lid somehow.

I'll make sure I keep the receipt this time.

See what I mean? It wasn't your Dad's fault at all - it's a known fault on Brabantia bins.

Posts #30 & #36 then #31 & #35 had me very confused there!
Strange feeling of deja-vu...

As the kitchen is usually the most expensive room in a house I guess style concious peeps think it's worth every penny due to the high quality and stylish design. If I had a cheap looking b&q kitchen I'd probably be happy to settle for something from argos for under a tenner too.

Voted hot and bagged one to replace my 'Autobin' that keeps going off every time I walk past it! :)

great find, been after one for a while our local range has some similar ones in a few weeks ago for £ 59.99 and i nearly bought it glad i waited. Have ordered one even thouhg it on a long delivery time.
