We have one of these and paid £70+. I read recently that having a Brabantia bin is one of the definitions of being middle-class! I thoroughly agree darling.

I know people seem to love these Brabantia things, but it's a bin, it's got a metal outside and a plastic inside, the same as almost every other bin. So why are you prepared to pay so much for them? Surely they can't hold rubbish in a superior way?

Not voted, as not being a fashion type, I don't understand such things.

Brabantia bins are superb - I have the 50 litre variety and it would be the first thing I would buy if setting up a new kitchen (well one of the first things).

Well made, durable, look smart, 10 yr guarantee on parts (my lid was the early design and had a few glitches with the catch so had three new ones before they changed the design - all free).

These and the ironing boards are the best!

Sad I know.

you might be right about the bins, I bought a non brand 30L bin but I do use the brabantia bin bags, they fit the best and are strong. its still a good price for the bin.

I use Farm Foods bags. Ideal size for a bin, strong, and much better quality than their frozen food. Image problem? Yes, but what the heck.

I was of the same opinion, but after few non-branded units, I paid over 60£ for Brabantia and would never go back.

Hot, very good price

Pretty sure I saw this bin in Taunton Sainsburys... might not have been the same size, but was deffinately Brabantia and was £25 reduced better than half price. If someone lives near by, they could check.

Ive got this bin and the clasp broke on the bin lid.....my husband used to stuff it until it wouldnt close so it eventually broke! I emailed Brabantia about a new clasp and they sent me a new bin lid! Very good customer service! Great price as mine cost over £70 a few years back!

Can't decide if I need 30 litre or 50 litre or what I have at the moment?!

Brabantia are good but they're no "simple human" imo.

Just my 2 cents.....

Having Brabantia is one of the definitions of having more money than sense methinks!
#13
Cheers OP, I've been in the market for a new bin for a week or two, as spring broken on my existing bin. £40 is well cheap for Brabantia bin and 10 years guarantee.
#14
Surely a foot pedal bin is better, I'd rather not be touching the bin with my hands thanks :|
#15
do these come in different colours?~

50 litre is BIG
#17
Tesco same price next day delivery and club point
#18
I have had a bin for a few years now, that has just about had it.
Been looking at these for a while, surely a 10 year guarantee is worth paying that extra for.
How many people can say their bin has lasted 10 years.
Unless you are like trigger and his broom!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure how big my bin is - my husband says 30 litres is too small and is the size of a carrier bag!?!?!

Dont think you could fit 15 2 litre bottles in the bin unless you really squashed them down :|

because the coke bottles wouldn't perfectly fit. i.e there would be voids between bottles. (fool)

most kitchen bins are 50 litres, 50 litres aint as big as any think.
#24
Great Price..I was looking for one of these..Thanks:)

Sainsbury's have this bin for £25 definitely.

50L is a standard size bin. I bought the Tesco 30L stainless bin a couple of months ago and it was far too small for us so it's been binned already and have gone back to my sturdy little Addis 50L ........could do with a bigger one TBH but certainly don't buy a 30L unless you live alone !

Wow! In store or online?
#28
In store at Salford, Reagent Road. They had about 3 of each kind in when I was there on Tuesday.

They had them at half price as part of their big home sale. I wish I had got one now. I know Amazon lists the RRP at £130.56 but these were the same bin 'Brabantia' 30L and 40L
#29
Wait, these were the 'brilliant steel' versions as they had one out on display.

We are a family of 3. The 30 litre is ample big enough for us cos we recycle cardboard, glass, cans and organic so there's not much left really to go in the bin.

Brilliant steel finish same price at tesco http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-0727.aspx
#39
I checked Tesco, and they don't seem to do the matt steel 30L, just brilliant steel, and Sainsbury's web site doesn't list them at the said price, so not going to risk touring Sainsbury's sites in the hope of finding it cheaper with the price of fuel!

So, just ordered mine from Amazon, been looking for a decent price on the 30L matt steel bin for ages, cheers :)

My wife just ordered one, she thinks this is an amazing offer. Thanks!
