For £30 more (£179) you could get an adult season ticket for Huddersfield Town. One division higher in the Championship watching the likes of Newcastle, Villa, Leeds, Derby etc not Fleetwood, Bury, Wimbledon, Vale etc. Oh, by the way you can get a 11-17 juniors card for £30 LESS (£69). UTT!
wasn't this limited to a certain amount of fans?
No it's still on offer now.
thought it was first 15k havent they sold even 15k?
Precisely.

Dont mind Huddersfield; their ground is the template for more successful sides in Wigan - identical and Bolton.

It also, for a large town, has a huge catchment area of Kirklees/ Calderdale and even Wakefield. In fact, Bradford has a sizeable number of Town fans from the Parl Avenue days when they went bust.

Both also huge Rugby League towns and Bradford Bulls dominated until only a decade ago.

I know it's banter but in the real world football fans don't shop around and decide who to support depending on who sells the best value season ticket, they support their local team. Well apart from those who follow Premiership teams that is.

Well done to both Bradford and Huddersfield either way; we often hear about how the ordinary fan is being priced out of football, it's good to see clubs at lower levels are doing something about it.

"Well apart from those who follow Premiership teams that is.", living in Leicester, I think you would be wise to make the distinction between the Man U/C, Arsenal, Chelsea, and the rest of the Premier league. Most other PL teams are still mostly based on local support.

Brilliant price, Prem clubs make so much money from TV, they should be cheaper than this but they rip off fans.
With this you can take 2 kids with you for £10 extra, 3 season tickets for £159. Works out £2.21 per game!
Why would Prem clubs do that? It's simple rules of supply & demand.. and they have plenty of demand. As much as season ticket or even match ticket prices pi$$ me off, they're running a business at the end of the day, not a charity.
Ask German clubs that charge this and still do better than Prem teams in Europe

But are they as rich as the Prem teams? Apart from Bayern Munich, probably not.

I've seen some of the crap deals you've posted, like the ones that reach minus 190 degrees! Now they are stuid deals!

the fa own wembley, what sense would it makr to spend more money letting out another ground?
Look at the average attendance of those club and then find a stadium that can hold that amount of people, having the play offs and all those minor cup competitions and semi finals at Wembley is taking away the special feeling of reaching the cup finals , Wigan yesterday won the FA cup and what A story that is but it would have been allot better if it was their first ever trip to Wembley which it should have been, I have no problem with playing the playoffs at big stadiums like old Trafford but Wembley should be sacred. There has been A huge change in the atmosphere of England internationals since they started having something at Wembley every week, if you kept Wembley for cup finals, Internationals and for the biggest concerts it would have that special feeling back, but where's the justice in the teams finishing 3rd to 6th in the championship and league 1, 4th-7th in League 2 and even worse, 2nd-5th in the conference getting A day at Wembley? We might aswell bring in A playoff like they have in Holland for A place in Europe, 4th-7th in the premiership could play off for A chance to play in the champions league at Wembley just to take all the meaning out of Bayern Munich and Dortmund qualifying and progressing through all the rounds of the Champions league for their chance to play at Wembley.
they should play them at neutral venue which is an equal distance from each team playing, and at a venue suitable for the amount of ticket sales...when man city got to div 2 (third tier) play off final they would have been pleased to travel to ground with a smaller capacity than maine road...I'm sure craven cottage could be suitable if it is was two small london teams (like daggers and hammers!!)
Very tempted.hot
StretchArmstrong
Alternatively the same pricing structure applies to go in our end. :-)

Theres no way the league 2 play off should be at craven cottage this year, maybe it should all depend on who is playing, this year Bradford and us have already sold over 40k which should reach 50k, that rules out most grounds. As a fan I'm glad it's at Wembley, great day out and still an iconic place.

Why is football so cheap up North?

I pay something like £350 to watch the Mighty AFCB.
£8.95 per game to watch Bratford is a great deal, do they give you it before or after the game ?

Only joking. Hot deal. I'm jealous
Wish bates would sort our prices out.
firswood
Given Bradford is classified as a City I would have thought it would have a decent population and catchment area. Leeds is probably the biggest club within 50 miles ... so why are they doing so poorly with attendances & league position? What's the population of Bradford?

Excepting the above it's a great deal and good luck to them. Heat.

Poor ownership.

Oddly I'm a Sunderland fan living in Bradford so I hear the news coming out of the club. They were charging £20 a ticket last season if you want to get to just one game - it was against Plymouth!!!

I hope they do make it back to sort of Championship level - they're bigger than some of the clubs in there.
Good deal and good luck to them.Miss our local derbys with them
Even when they charge £1 for a game its too expensive....

I understand that the league are seriously considering that this is a violation of rules as the same deal is not available to away fans. A points dedction of 6 points is in the offing.
Real value for real football. hot.
I thought this was the 'entertainment' section - did I take a wrong turn?

(sorry....)
I find it unlikely that I shall partake of this deal

I don't think they'll get away with this. It's against football league rules charging away fans more.

Sounds like it was a great game for the neutrals - 5 goals (including a last minute winner), a missed penalty and 2 sendings off. Well worth a quid!
YEY! We won!!

CTID!!!
Back of the net !

What's all the panic ? 15 games to play, 6 points away from the drop zone, new manager coming in, and Stockport look doomed anyway !

Wait a minute, Bradford only won 1 out of the last 9, Barnet only lost 3 out of the last 9, Burton have 5 games in hand, club in absolute turmoil, resorting to bribing supporters in for a quid, will probably $hit themselves in front of a full house, chairman openly criticising the players.

OMG HELPPPPPPPPPPP !!!! ;)

P.S. Heat added, great deal !
Laughing Spam
If the player's don't have the professional pride to win or feel a responsibility to the club and the fans at all times, why should anyone want to pay a penny to try to keep their sorry, ungrateful **** in the Football League? Most professional footballers are a disgrace and deserve to be out of work.

What - even those whose teams are near the top of the league?

Just to correct your ill-informed post, the average league 2 footballer earns little more than the average office worker these days. They know they're likely to be made redundant every summer, may have to move anywhere in the country at the drop of a hat and have a maximum career of 20 years, and even that's assuming a serious injury doesn't being their career to a sudden end.
HEAT !!! ive got bradford in my bet this weekend knowng that stockport are poo !!! what i didnt know was that bradford are also poo !!

At least you got your money's worth when you watched us whoop you lot 4-2. :whistling:

Voted hot for Bantams fans. Hopefully more clubs will follow suit and get bums on seats instead of playing to half-empty stadiums.

Ahem:oops::oops::oops:
^^

however should the initiative become a success and the capacity near full on matchdays (20,yes,20,000 capacity!). we'd be competing with the likes of Charlton, Forest, Leicester, bleeds, puppies which in turn could push the club towards the championship, where the financial or 'monetary' gain is quite substantial.
wii expert;3772377
crazy talk! if we sell 13000 season tickets for £100 each that is £1.3m, you then get 13000 people in the ground who may buy food, merchadise and programmes, policing costs are very low for a bradford game i assume (league 2 teams dont travel well), how can 3000 people paying £15 a game be better for the club than 13000 people at every game and cash in the bank? we dont have the fan base to compete with leeds, (although IMO we are a bigger team than colchester) and we are in a better position now , financially, than when we were in the old division 1 (championship).

thanks for the good luck though!

Your club keep on reudcing ticketing prices substantially lower than comparative clubs you will struggle, and with the credit crunch bitting there is not a lot of money to spend on luxuries like season tickets let alone food and drink at the ground. it costs a lot of money to run a stadium on matchdays if you include Policing costs , Stewarding staff (who get paid quite tidily,) Food outlet staff, medical staff, club shop staff, security staff, turnstile staff and other key personel not to mention electricity bills and such, not crazy talk at all. Even my club struggle somewhat for the rising costs and our attendances are not as high as we would have expected even though we are in the championship. Clubs do struggle to break even and if you keep reducing prices its a problem i hope the gamble pays off for your club but its a huge montary risk.

My renewal for season ticket £400.

Cost for new season ticket holders £450.

How bad is that for Footballs 3rd division?!

Love us or hate us, you cant ignore us......
I agree excellent price in todays market
Voted hot as it's a good deal.

Voting Cold on this because you don't like Bradford is just childish, the posts are about how good the deal is.
12000 "sold" according to Mr Flamingo Land. It'll be interesting how many actually turn up to the matches though.

However, from what I've heard once you buy a ST for Sadford you are counted in the attendance even if you don't turn up! So no doubt they'll be loads of chickens mouthing off about what big crowds they are getting during the season to anyone who'll listen.
Could get nearly three of these for the price of my Southampton one... funnily enough, I'm not tempted to exchange though!!!
