Picked up a crate of these from Morrison's in Perth last night, must be nation wide

Hot! Picked up a pack last time this was £6 and wish I'd picked up more. Time to stock up....

What's it like? Worth a punt?

What's it like? Worth a punt?
quite weak tasting imo, and only ok if ice cold. Not bad for 50p a bottle though.

What's it like? Worth a punt?
lush, mellow and refreshing.
found this last year and for £6 it's outrageously cheap.
HOT HOT HOT
#6
Nuts - probably cheaper than Brazil?
#7
Thanks OP.

Manged to get a few from my local

Light & refreshing, bit like a Corona

One of my favourites. Could do with being a bit stronger, but at this price simply consume twice as much
#10
It's nothing like corona imo. Good for the price but don't buy them expecting corona quality lol.

Didn't this used to be around the 5% abv mark...? (now just 4.3%)

None in my local... sign outside advertising so looks national when stock available.
#13
Cheers, really enjoy these and had a couple crates last summer when the same deal was on. As I'm a lazy get, I've ordered 4 (the max) and £20 of other promos with just 1p late delivery.
#14
Thanks op
I will get s few tomorrow :)

This stuff was lovely when it was imported originally. Now it's brewed in the UK it's like a posh bottle of carling, not great tasting but decent price.

Can only echo the comments above, not the best tasting or strongest beer in the world. Not sure I'd bother, even for £6 tbh. The original Brazilian import beer it's based on it's stronger and much, much, much nicer.
#18
grabbed 6 packs in Erith.lovely stuff.

Yes and no. This international version has always been 4.3% afaik, but there is a "proper" Brazilian version which is 5%
#20
To go to Morrisons tomorrow or not...

Brazilian here, not really recommend this stuff. My mates back home would laugh if I told that the british are actually buying brahma here. There is a variant called "chopp" which is rather nice, but usually only available on the tap and I haven't seen any pubs crazy enough to stock it.
#22
Average lager on it's own but today I have added a slice of lemon and tasted a bit like Corona

Standard lager, nothing very different from Fosters or Budweiser imo. And it's quite different from Brahma produced in Brazil.

Cheaper than in Brazil yes but not the same unfortunately, this is brewed in the UK. Decent price though for a drinkable lager, heat added
#25
Heat for price but used to be better like most lagers! IMHO
#26
Picked some up on Saturday, at £6 it was worth a try. Just drinking a bottle now.

Like others have said, its ok for price but nothing special. If you not tried it before then worth a go, personally I won't be buying anymore.
#27
It used to be brewed away from the UK and used to be in a funky bottle.. Thats when it used to be pretty drinkable.. Now its a bit weaker and not really got the same twang to it

IMO of course.

Wish they would sell Antarctica in the UK

some of the worst lager on the market imho, almost tasteless so ok for people who like light beers

I agree: it's nothing like Corona...it's much, much better!

Weakest blandest tasting beer ever

For those wandering, this is a very mild light refreshing beer, perfect for those hot days, at this price it's a steal
#33
The 5% version is a nice light, refeshing beer. Not tried the uk brewed one. Netto used to sell the imported one at around £9 per case.

Heated added
#34
Great deal! grabbed one, thanks op!
#35
Use to drink Brahma a lot in my youth :) Thanks!

You can get Antarctica in cans from Amazon but its very expensive, when I was in Brazil my favourite bottled lager was the "Bohemia" which I cannot find over here anywhere

Just got a box 8)

tax reasons
Breweries pay tax on the alcohol produced.
Lots of Strong Lagers have had a few % drops knocked off
Stella droped from 5% to 4.8% & saves about £9m a year in Duty!

personally, i would go to Asda & get 4x 660ml bottles of HopHouse 13 for £6 instead.
