Some things won't stay down... even after they die.

Mother's boy Lionel Cosgrove is 25 and has never been kissed. Then one fateful day in 1957, Lionel's uneventful existence changes forever. Drawn to the lovely Paquita, a young Spanish girl from the local corner shop, the couple plan a tryst at the nearby zoo. Thinking themselves alone at last, the young lovers are unaware that their every move is being observed from the bushes by Lionel's possessive mum. Sneaking close, mum stumbles against a cage which contains a vicious Sumatran Rat Monkey which duly sinks its toxic fangs deep into her flesh. When the strange wound transforms into a putrefying virus, Lionel and the unwitting Paquita are sent spiralling into an endless nightmare...

Add Peter Jackson to your title to get extra heat.

Not as good as Bad Taste, but still a funny movie.

Brilliant stuff.
If you haven't seen this, I would recommend.

Also see Bad Taste by Peter Jackson if you like this.

Disagree entirely, this is a far more accomplished and funny film. Well worth £2.99, a classic horror comedy, better than the overhyped Shaun of the Dead I'd say.

Agreed. Far better mis en scene and exposition than Bad Taste. Great price for such an enjoyable movie. Plus we are one of the only countries to have had it released uncut.

I love this film, especially the lawnmower scene! Def worth £2.99 - heat added!

Was only coming on here quickly todayk, but after seein this as the first post of the day I HAD to comment! Brilliant brilliant film, totally agreeing that it's a billion times better than Bad Taste (which don't get me wrong, is still a great film, just not as good....) and to think this was made by the same guy who did LOTR!!!!

super film, worth watching for sure.

Look, Regardless Of The Merits Of The Film, No Dvd Is A 'bargain' At £2.99 Okay Price Yeh, But Most Dvd's Can Be Picked Up For £2.99 These Days Especially From Play...

Awesome film - think I showed it to 5 different mates on separate occasions in 1 week a few years ago, needless to say their jaws all hit the floor (as mine did when i saw it first)

Buy 2, so when one wears out you'll have a spare :)

Haha, love this film. Watched it again the other day.
It might be worth checking your local ASDA if you're in, I got it for £2 a few weeks ago but haven't seen it since so this is an excellent price as it's more than likely sold out in asda. Heat added.

Peter Jackson's best movie. A true masterpiece.
#23
I reckon he got the LOTR gig on the strength of this and Bad Taste, they must have just thought 'damn, if he can do this on $30,000, what are we gonna get for $450,000,000?'

I have to say, I was watching a clip from a fight scene in LOTR and it felt like his style, still shone thru, despite the years and budget change.
