NEXT CHEAPEST - £5.63

AVERAGE RATING ON PLAY 5 OUT OF 5

By the Director of The Lord Of The Rings Trilogy - PETER JACKSON

ABOUT:
Some things won't stay down... even after they die.

Mother's boy Lionel Cosgrove is 25 and has never been kissed. Then one fateful day in 1957, Lionel's uneventful existence changes forever. Drawn to the lovely Paquita, a young Spanish girl from the local corner shop, the couple plan a tryst at the nearby zoo. Thinking themselves alone at last, the young lovers are unaware that their every move is being observed from the bushes by Lionel's possessive mum. Sneaking close, mum stumbles against a cage which contains a vicious Sumatran Rat Monkey which duly sinks its toxic fangs deep into her flesh. When the strange wound transforms into a putrefying virus, Lionel and the unwitting Paquita are sent spiralling into an endless nightmare...

Ahr man, this film was just gross, no talent to it except to making you feel queezy; can't believe Jackson was given the go ahead on LOTRs based on this sh*te! (damn good job he was though!):w00t:

I agree it's Jackson's best film.

It's an absolute classic and is so much better than Bad Taste! How could anyone rate that over this I don't know.

I remember the first time I watched this, about 10 years ago, it was on around 3am on Film 4. It was "Meet the Feebles", "Bad Taste", then this. A quality nights viewing, my mates and I were laughing so much.

was on about this film the over day - beware of the rat monkey...

badtaste isnt as good but is still funny.

Films a joke but meh

'stand back, i kick ass for the lord!' class.

I saw this at an all night horror fest just before it was released mainstream.

When the priest kung-fu kicks the zombies and says "i kick ass for the Lord" the whole cinema was applauding.

I thought it was a blast, and the SFX and old style blood n guts worked a treat. I thought it was credit to Jackson to put a comic spin on it so he could be as extreme as possible with the gore.

still has the record for the most fake blood ever used in a film too!

Saw this film at the cinema without knowing a thing about it. Nearly 5 minutes had passed before I realised the grainy image before me was the film that had already started and not an advert.

Ten years ago I was introduced to this by my (then) girlfriend when I was 16, perhaps she really was the girl of my dreams after all! I bought an ex-rental copy on Preston market shortly after. It has an oversize case and reversible cover :)

I also fondly remember convincing a lovely lady to buy me Bad Taste from Woolworths when I was 14 - My parents went intergalactic when they caught me watching it.

I KICK **** FOR THE LORD!

Damn you beat me to it :/

A very good film, much better than bad taste too. Voted Hot!

Rented this a couple of weeks back, after an hour found myself skipping through chapters to the end. An hour and a half too long imo.

this then Meet the Feebles, then bad taste :)
