Canon 50mm 1.8 Lens £75.00 Del. @ Brainstorms (Fulfilled by Amazon)

Everybody knows about this lens by now. I needed to replace mine after dropping it a year ago and this is just about the best price I've seen it going for since then.

Blue line indicates the price of third-party sellers on Amazon... It's been this price for ages

Samsung NX1000 with 20-50 lens and Free Galaxy Tab2 £289.00 @ Amazon

So, this deal at different prices seems to have been posted before and voted cold pretty quick. Not sure why, but as a novice why not use this opportunity to find out why I shouldn't go for it....

You don't have to commit to buying to see you are wrong. The Amazon offers page clearly shows which products must be bought to qualify.
I can take being proved wrong, I just don't think name calling is particularly helpful. Especially for newbies trying to find stuff out. Not touchy abou the trying things out comment, just questioning it. And I did make it clear I wanted to find out why it always goes cold, not trying to induce anyone to buy anything.
So, anyway, expired it is.

So, please vote it hot or tell me why not.... I can take it.

Judging from your touchy responses, it seems not. You should have tested this before posting, simply saynig "I should fall for a trick and lose money before posting on a site designed to help me save money" doesn't hold true. So, you expect US to lose money instead of you? This site is for posting valid deals. I'd even go so far as to say this should be expired. Clicked Expired accordingly.
Gimp? Why? Because I tried to use this site for tips and advice about deals which are advertised online?
Should have tested it out? I should fall for a trick and lose money before posting on a site designed to help me save money?

Thanks for all the help.
Yep. the cheapest to qualify is £377.51, in pink :)

Excellent value! Excellent Quality bins! Heat++

can anyone please tell me if the London 2012 branding is engraved or screen-printed or, best of all, just a sticker?
It's not a sticker. Don't think you could scratch it off without it looking bad. You could perhaps stick something over it or maybe even paint over it. I got a pair for £25 and am very happy with them for that price and actually the logo isnt that bad - not sure anyone would even notice unless they looked up close. I prefer the all black models but wasnt going to fork out nearly £80, when the optics are identical. It's the logo that is bringing the price down so I think you could live with it for the money! (_;)
Hi and thank you for helping me out. :)

Bit of a pity about the permanent nature of that logo as I really want nothing to do with anything that has it. I suppose as they're for personal use I could get out my engraving tool and "neatly" excise it. Much easier with a light metal colour than black.
Excellent deal....

Heat.

Seems to be expired now.
Beautiful peace of equipment I use this lens over year superb quality .
This is a brilliant lens. Superb quality, but will not autofocus on some models. However, at this price it is worth getting if you dont have the 35mm, which is also superb. Manual focus is not thaat difficult, and the thought of it should not put you off getting a lens of this quality.
Now £77.98 from Infinity Hub.
rozza38
I have the 35 on a dx body - Do I need this? hmmmmmm?

No, you don't :) You have a perfect 50mm equivalent.

Wireless Dongle for 2012 Samsung Smart TVs.

This annoys me. Why do samsung have to bring out a new dongle for every new range of TVs that they bring out??
Beware I have had wifi problems for 2 years in my house (very poor range and devices not connecting etc.). Finally fixed it... the problem was the (insanely powerful) Samsung wifi dongle on my TV! Disconnected now (only use every so often anyway) and all my problems are gone!
More wirelss signals. Where are the scientist doing research on all these localised micro /radiowaves signals in our homes.

I guess they are too busy talking about global warming..... no sorry its CLIMATE CHANGE now that sheeple are waking up to the fact that global warming has always come and gone since the dawn of time.

Would it be better using a powerline home plug than this?

Yes, but for a lot of people this is a tidier solution.

Think I'd sooner have wires than the tv buffering due to the wireless signal. thanks
If you are within a decent range the wireless bandwidth should be many many times that of what is needed.

Used Isme. Samsung NX1000 Digital Camera with 20-50 mm Lens and 16 mm Lens - White plus FREE Samsung Galaxy Tablet £469.00 + postage. Sign up us new customer and use 10% discount code from netvouchercodes.co.uk. Quidco used for new isme customer 7%. Great deal to me
Problem with ISME is that they require you to open a credit agreement with them, even if you want to pay with credit/debit card. Paying via credit agreement will be a big mistake because they charge MASSIVELY high interest rates.

Yes but you just pay it off straight away and close it which is what I done,or do buy now pay later which is interest free or a year.

so where is the best place to get this deal?

What's the point in getting it from Amazon??

Reputation ;)

I agree. I'd always give my business to a company that puts something into our economy and pays its taxes properly. Park Cameras it is then. :D
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but Topcashback are offering 10% cashback at Currys on compact system cameras potentially knocking another £40 off.....

No. None of those will autofocus. You need one with a built in motor like the D7000 or D90.
alunross
Great lens, just remember that alot of the more recent consumer Nikon SLR won't autofocus on this lens.
Will 3200/5100 or 5200 do?
