1.5 hours battery life??? Tis hardly a laptop you can ever use then without being plugged in! Thats shocking! With regards to the CPU in this, its not bad at all for the price

Does this have HDMI?

i bought the V1 of this laptop for £199 from sainsburys installed windows 7 and added 2gb of ram to amke it 4gb and sold it for £350. BUT medion are terrible at supporting products, I couldn't find any drivers online, were on disc just didnt want to open everything up before selling and OMG the battery was shocking!

this just really isnt worth it,, the battery is shocking and for that i would be willing to pay at least £20 more and for a better build and make(support) £50

Drivers for damn near anything are easy to find on the net if you look in the right places

Thanks for posting this hot deal. Personally, I'm usually using my laptop somewhere there is a plug, so 1.5h battery life isn't so much a problem. The laptop I bought in Mar 09 advertises a 2h battery, which despite much use still holds about that much. Is about 30mins from a full charge though if I'm playing a game!

Apart from the battery - looks good spec
#14
Agree with the battery life being disgustingly bad
#15
Dubious spec.
Says 4gb ram but 32bit os will only "see" about 3 of it.

My experience dealing with Argos outlet on ebay. Bought msi black netbook sold "As new" - I ordered black - they sent a pink one clearly been heavily used, tatty box incomplete.

Took over 3 weeks and numerous phone calls and emails to get the replacement.

What I then received was clearly an unrefurbished customer return from an Argos store. (Return label on box) according to return label it had been used for 6 months and returned as faulty. Filthy and heavily used, smelt of cig smoke, keys, track pad badly worn, missing one of the rubber feet on the bottom, the psu supplied was for a toshiba netbook not msi netbook. Incomplete, packaging tattfy and badly damaged etc etc etc.

Then took another 3 weeks or so to get a refund, numerous emails and phone calls to ebay, paypal and ebay argos outlet contractor. Ebay outlet promised a refund, they didnt, in the end ebay had to refund the money to me.

So in conclusion some of the prices can be attractive but dont expect any sort of customer support, if something goes wrong and you have to return it for a replacement or refund look at my experience. Based on their feedback this is not unusual especially with computers and electrical items.

Buyer beware.

loved my medion akoya, but when the battery wont hold charge any longer, its taken me 7 weeks typing into search engines to find a replacement and cant gat one, not even through medion. Never told me that when I bought it did they.
