Go to the UK Apple store, through quidco for 3% back.

Use the discount voucher: N1ABC65G5V for £20 off £200.

This brings the price to £235 (inc. VAT). Then the quidco cashback, and you have a deal!

If the promotional code doesn't work try and make a new account.

Thanks Tom. I added a deep link and a picture there.

I changed the price from the quidco discounted price though - not everyone uses quidco, so we try to show the retail prices, and usually mention quidco in the post as you have done.

Cheers ;)

And I'd like t add, having used this very same deal yesterday, that the Quidco amount on Apple purchases appears to be on the amount before vat.

On the £235 for the iPod, I've received £6.01 in cashback. Still a great saving on a brand new product though.

That's true nomad - that's usually the way all quidco purchases track. It's hard to know what you are going to get until you see it in your account!

What could you possibly put on an ipod to fill 80 gig?

That's larger than my pc's main hd and I couldn't fill that with music if I tried.

Many people have large music collections. Or smaller collections in a lossless format. Videos also take up a fair chunk of space.

I have what I consider to be a large music collection (maybe 3000 mp3s) and it barely breaks 15 gig. If I added a buttload of music videos I doubt I could break 25 gig and i would 'never' listen to or watch everything on it. 80 gig is approximately 15 thousand mp3s. I guess I don't see the point of carrying around a thousand hours worth of listening time on something with a battery life of about ten hours :)

I think things like this are a complete waste of money. You could buy a 2 gig mp3 player (over 400 mp3s or about 24 hours of listening time) and a 100gig small external hard drive (so you can keep all your music in one place and still have it be portable) and go on holiday with the change.

After your Nintendo Wii comments, I've come to the conclusion that you can be none other than VICTOR MELDREW!! "I dooooooooooon't believe it" etc.

Just in audio files this computers HD has 40 GB, i could add another 5-10 easily from my unripped CDs and stuff on my portable. I could fill a 60 GB if i tried, maybe not an 80 but if im travelling alot i could with TV shows.

video podcasts.....

Will soon fill up the Hard drive

and also

Itunes converted all of west wing series 5, which was sitting on my hard drive, to a compatible format.

Thats about 10gb on its own

My 30 GB 5G Ipod is nearly full, mainly with movies and tv episodes (Lost, Csi,ER etc). Also i download dozens of podcasts that I listen to in the car.
If it was easier to convert video files to play on the ipod I would jump for the 80GB version, still waiting for the widescreen version though.

I have got just under 60 GB of music. I would rather have a large size iPod like I have and not have to update it everyday. As I get in the car people can chose what they want to listen to, not be stuck with the same 100 songs over and over.

Also whatever space is left over is nice for using as a portable Hard Drive to transfer things from/to work and friends house's

Thats the reason I have it for. Athough I only have 35GB of music!

My ancient 80gb MP3 player is already full and it doesn't even play videos!

It's an X-Clef HD500 that came with a 20gb hard drive and I replaced it myself.

With a wife and three kids, each with its own style of listening, I would struggle with a smaller MP3 player. In fact, I'm thinking of getting a 120gb hard drive.

I also use for work as an external storage.
