have you ever whizzed stuff around in a blender? you want something a bit tougher than plastic to take an impact generated by the blender.

isnt that how you mix concrete? ;) im thinking more if you put ice or something in it, or something hard to chop up. Plastic is a big no no on a blender.

This may not be a premium blender but its not bad for the price! Heat 8)

I didn't know that. what i do now know is that some of the reviews for those plastic jugs are terrible.

I would say the reviews are 'mixed' at worst....

It seems ideal for knocking up a quick smoothie or protein shake, especially for someone who doesn't like washing up!

why, because it cracks the first time you use it so you throw the jug away and pull out a new one so no washing up ;)
