I know the feeling,I`m very tempted at this price although I have a Canon lide 100 myself.

14 seconds? Fast? That's damned slow for a modern scanner. Our AIO Epson does it in about 5 seconds, if that.

I have had serious problems with buying from this seller.

You cannot get any response from them if you have any issues, they do not respond to emails, I'm still waiting for delivery for an item after 3 weeks with no contact from them even though I have sent numberous emails.

Looking at their feedback, I'm not the only one.

I've had to take a claim through paypal to try to resolve an issue, as this seller does not reply.

What epson aio do u have?

I have tried three of these scanners all didn't scan straight.
I think this is because they have a single pole in the chassis that the scan head moves up and down on, you could actually see that the head wasn't true with the case.
My documents ended up wonky on the screen, and the automatic software couldn't sort it out - made it worse.
On the plus side they are usb powered and fast.
This is a good price too.

And what happens when you try to ring them on 01536 447 900?

Beware of Canon not releasing the necessary drivers next time Microsoft launch a new OS.

My Canon scanner became useless with Windows 7, so I don't want to buy their products again.

Have a LIDE 100 working fine on Win7 x64. Same driver for the 200? Bought mine from the Canon eBay outlet.

Bought mine for £60 online 6 months ago. Great piece of kit and bargain at £40.

My Father bought a Lide 200 as his old scanner wouldn't work on W7 64 bit. This one works perfectly.

Canon are useless for updating drivers, even with minor updates such as service packs they can't be bothered to update the drivers of existing hardware.
#16
Ive got the Lide 600 and have for the past 4-5 years. The Lide200 ? How longs this been out ? Isn't it a lesser Lide ? ;)

They're no different to any other manufacturer. Sony are a lot WORSE.

I've has this scanner for almost a year now. Works great. Powers from the USB so no power supply required. Very quick, and works perfectly with Windows 7 64 bit (regardless of what Americanv8 would have you believe).

Agree with the last post, I've got an 8 year-ish old n1220u canon scanner - still works perfectly, so never bothered with an upgrade. Moved to windows 7 on two machines (jumping from XP) and, after a bit of digging about) got drivers working fine. There's millions of knee-jerk comments stating you have to bin hardware because of there being no drivers. I've never experienced any of that with both a 2003 desktop and 2001 laptop. You just need to have a modicum of tech-savvy and be prepared to read up a bit online.

I had the same issue with an Epson scanner, so its a fairly problem universal.
