The Denon brand came from a merger of Denki Onkyo and others in 1939.

Denon make high quality A/V products that perform well and are reliable. £20 for these seems like a bargain to me!

Quick google price check shows very few places selling at anywhere near the rrp. Although this is definately the cheapest there are a couple at £25 so is this really such a bargain?

20% cheaper than anywhere else IS kind of a bargain, is it not?

They must be really high quality if the average price is only £25.

Denon do make really high quality products - their amps are excellent! They are not known for their headphones and trying to get established in this market they appear to be offering large discounts, nothing wrong with that?

These have been superseded by the AH-D510 hence why they are cheap. I will point out that you have been able to pick them up at this price for some time now.
i got a pair of these at Xmas and they're good quality cans, ideal for the car for the kids dvd player or in the house for yourself, handy extension lead with them.

these headphones are not comfortable. I have them. They arnt very adjustable, and just sort of hang off the ear. I'm investing in some sony mdr-xb700s on my next payday

I've had these unopened in a cupboard for nearly 3 years now...really should use them at some point.

You know nothing about Hi-Fi if you never heard of Denon.
#18
are they better than the Bose Around Ear headphones:

http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-and-personal-audio/headphones-and-headsets/bose-audio-headphones/bose-around-ear-headphones/

which i actually find to be quite good.
#19
The headphone is quite good compare to others brand under 50 pounds... any media player should be able drive this just fine.... and it is quite comfortable for stationary listening... not so much when you are on the move...
#20
The denon is in the same range as the bose.... I would personally rate the denon is better in sound quality, comfort and value...

Yah, from the look of them they look like these really poor Altec Lansing ones I had a few years ago. I can imagine that headband thing causing a lot of discomfort after a while...

No disrespect to you but, Denon are very well known for there headphones. They have three models which do very well (AH-D2000, AH-D5000 & AH-D7000) & are beautifully crafted with wood (not the 2000). They also have a limited anniversary edition portable (AH-100) that is a very good headphone. They also don't do too badly in the IEM market although not as well as with the models just mentioned c

I've owned and heard a few Denon models, if not this one in particular, but at £20 it's a steal.
#26
Now expired. Would have been really good deal if it was the AH-D510 (how confusing is that for naming) which does occasionally cost £70.

OK, only just seen this but I bought these when they where £30.

If I'm honest they're not brilliant. The sounds not great, the quality is ok apart from the plastick ear pads.....I wouldn't buy them again

i've seen them being used on loads of radioshows, and randomly came across the exact headphones on google. The big cushions are what look great, first comes sound quality, and then comes comfort, both of which these denons DO NOT have lol.
How much did you pay?

You can get some on ebay direct from china. item no. 250802069386. Not sure if its legit though, but i suspect you could easily get a refund via paypal if they're shipped, and have uncertain legitimacy about them.

atm have them on my head. not for small heads though. g/f says they are uncomfortable because of the size. they fit me well .
of course they are not the wood ones for 700 , but still are super good with netbook etc. not so with small mp3 players, at least not mine, as it can't produce enough volume.
