I think it's the 2012 model but still seems like a really good price.

Enter code NEX10 to get it for £99.99. Free next day del seems to add its self to the basket.

Yeah is the same price as Argos. Small advantage with this one is that postage is next day

No SD card slot its a Nexus but only useless if you run out of storage.

Great little tablet. 32GB is ample for many. I'm loving my 16GB and it's just recently updated to 4.4.4.
#14
yeah the latest update has disabled the ability to create/delete/rename files on an external sdcard or otc attached usb drive.

yey way to go to force people to use cloud services, wait does google provide cloud storage services you pay for, hmmmmm

To be honest i store movies and tv series music video ebooks on my external microsd cards. I have the joy of hanging around hospitals for hours on end waiting for appointments for myself and now for my mother, she has andre rieu on hers while having chemotherapy.

oh as an FYI at the moment we use evga tegra note 7 16gb tablets wanted to get a spare for mother incase she breaks hers less stress the better after all and thought an extra 16gb storage would be good.

I find it amazing people making statements like the one you made "useless if you run out of storage" nothing personnel just seems like it is a party line i hear over and over for no good reason not like they cann't put one in after all. A basic tenet of computing is to backup locally, shouldn't the question be why haven't they put in a microSD slot, followed with why have google hamstrung it's use of the expanded memory and otc connected storage.

I would get the new Asus 7 inch tablet with a quad core intel bay trail processor, which outperforms this 2012 nexus 7 version by a long mile. I think it's priced the same at £99 and also has a micro sd slot with front and rear cameras, kitkat 4.4 also.

I got rid of my 16gb nexus V2 because of the lack of storage sd card issue and always having to delete files to make room. I now own a samsung tab 3 8 inch with 16gb internal & 64gb sd card installed that cost £129 from asda and theres no way I would go back to a nexus.

Er..yeah, if you're playing games on it. For standard tablet use it makes basically no difference.

32gb should be plenty for most uses..I couldn't be bothered to try and sync films and tv shows onto a tablet anyway, regardless of how much storage you could expand it with. I've rooted it and use CIFSManager to access my NAS, and play stuff off of that. Much easier.

Waiting for 2013 model to hit around this price, then I'll give in.

If you get it from argos you can buy a folio case/stand for half price (£7.49)

Got one from Argos last week for the same price. Came with 4.2.2. Now running on 4.4.4 after several updates.

Those who need extra memory, try using a OTG cable with a USB drive with you media on it and load ES File Explorer to access your media.

I’m getting about 5-6hrs of continues web browsing (no streaming) before needing a recharge. This fall some way short of the advertised 10hrs of web browsing (or 9hr HD video)…

Question for those who have this tablet, what sort of battery life are you getting out of this?

I didn’t use it at all whilst it was running 4.2.2, only to updated to the latest version. So I have no way of comparing if it is due to the latest OS or not…

My nexus 7'sbattery life went down quite badly after I updated to kitkat I used to get about 6-7 and now I get 5-6 however apparently Google are going to updated the old N7 2012 to Android L which has battery life improvements even over jelly bean so if you can hold on a few months things should improve. as for 10 hours I never got than even when it was new

Any obvious way to tell the difference between 2012/13 versions from the part number on the box?

Yeah, I wouldn't expect 10hrs either. But 80% of advertised battery life wouldn’t be an unreasonable expectation.

It also depends on usage if you switch off wifi and turn the screen down to minimum brightness and just watch a move you might do 9 or 10 hours it's a bit of a con but no more than the advertised MPG on most cars. and it's not unique to this tablet they all do it

I have tried with it with minimal and auto brightness. Still get about 5-6hrs...
