£303.94 inc del = heat :)
This is essentially the same laptop I have. I've upgraded the memory and hard drive (dead easy to do and fairly cheap) and it belts along. Shame the graphics side of it is so pants, but for office work and surfing it's a good deal.
Does this come with a free upgrade to Windows 7 also remember if ordering Quidco and Cashback Kings both give 3%
Now free delivery using code!
'Free' upgarde should be available as it's Vista Home premium - but it'll cost you about £25 P&P!
Would rather get this and install my own OS:

Great deal. I was looking for a new laptop. Thanks !!
Many thanks OP - just ordered for my parents.
It's an old model, but amazing for the price. Hot hot hot
just ordered thank you :-D

thing is you won't get the build quality of the tosh and the specs not that different (bar the ram) i'd rather get this as it'll probably last longer and tosh support is second to none. i'd rather buy something branded myself
i would get the dell over this... it might last longer - heat though as a good price
jimlad21 i would get the dell over this... it might last longer

If I needed a new laptop, Id choose a Toshiba everytime! My current laptop (Toshiba 'Blue'!!)is going on 7 years old and gets mistreated every single day by mischievous children! It is amazing!
I am thinking to buy a laptop, I find the following one from Dell (the second column one). I don't know if i should buy the Dell one or the Toshiba one.... I am not playing game a lot, but i do want to connect the laptop to my TV to play video. please give me some advice . thanks.

Vostro 1520
Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 3gb memory
Toshiba is wayyyyyy better than the cheapo dells.
I am new here, can't see my previous message that i posted.

so i ask the same question again. i don't know if i should buy Dell Vostro 1520 (£436) or this Toshiba (£299) based on spec and price.
I am not playing games a lot, but wanted to connect my laptop to TV to play video.
Thanks a lot for your help.

here's the spec for Dell Vostro 1520 = £436
Intel Core 2 Duo T6670(2.2GHz,800MHz,2MB)
Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium SP1 - English
3072MB 800 MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (1x2048+1x1024)
15.4 inch WXGA Anti-Glare LED Display
250GB (7200rpm) SATA Hard Drive with Free Fall Sensor
Fixed Internal 8X DVD+/-RW Tray Load Drive including Software
Integrated GMA X4500 HD Graphics
Okay finding it really hard to make a choice here!

Would you go with the scorching hot 17" Dell from CPW that was posted recently or this?

Very similar spec, the .13 Mhz diff wont make a difference i know, just wondered what people thought?
Doesn't seem available anymore... no buy link when you click through...
Hi - anyone ordered this and received. There was a return label address included in the pack and I can't find it (probably put it somewhere safe in case I needed it!!!!) - wondered if anyone could let me know the address details as it looks like I may have to return it.

Unfortunately although it's looks really good there is a tiny pen size mark like a pixel is missing on the screen - it's more noticable when the screen is dark as it shows a red colour behind (I first noticed it when in restarted) - whereas when it's light it appears white and is far less noticable.

Probably at the risk of sounding really stupid but does anyone know if this kind of defect would get worse over time (i.e. enlarge etc).

Many thanks,
