I get an error on that link?

I bought one last year... Had a 1.9 diesel before..... The 1.6 engine is very underpowered and with only 5 gears, on a motorway you are left wishing for a 6th gear.... The "lifetime warrantee" could add up as its a service every year...

I got the 1.6 earlier this year. I had read it is underpowered, but have had no problem. Been surprisingly impressed having had to make the recent move from much more powerful vehicles to more "family oriented" vehicles. Cannot recommend it highly enough at under £10k with lifetime warranty.

Thank you for your comments on the vehicle above...looking at a possible change, and at this price, why not?!

We have the 2.2 had nothing but trouble with timing chain & sensors has cost a fortune would not get another petrol one

in my opinion 1.6 is not underpowered. my 1.6 is quick. can do 120mph. oh yes.

in terms of reliability, it has a superb engine. ive had 3 zafiras until now and when i sold them they were still running. as follows,
1st one 1.6 petrol 225000 miles!
2nd one 1.6 petrol 180,000 miles!
current one 1.6 petrol 140,000 miles and still going strong.
lets see if i can get it to a million with same engine!!

This vehicle is brand new with warranty therefore if there are any issues with sensors or timing belts vauxhall can sort it out themselves.

Congratulations prodriver,you can drive

Been looking at a couple of 2nd hand Zafiras this week… good timing. We can either go for this or use it as leverage. Cheers.

Before you rush out and buy one that's a "vauxhall partners" deal with the discount already removed so unless you work for vauxhall or it's associated partners you'll not be buying it at that price.

We're does it say "v partners" deal?
We bought one 6months ago ,diesel for roughly that price.
You can get them at various dealers for that price ,just had to travel 50miles away.

For the price you can't go wrong,
Had various Vauxhalls, wouldn't say unreliable or uneconomical.
Wanted a 7seater and couldn't afford to pay anymore.

Worst car ever had - never again.
Got Toyota Verso- pleasure to drive and not a single problem in 204000 miles.

Toffeegirl57 it says it right underneath the price "includes vauxhall partners discount". And please tell me where you can buy a pre reg zafira diesel for under £10k because I'll go and buy a field full!!

I bought a 1.7 diesel Eco flex. The car it self is great. It's basic but I'm ok with that for the price. Currently I'm getting 350 - 400 miles per tank of fuel so I'm not best pleased with that. Current issue is water in the drivers footwell not sure about the passengers. The car is only 3 months old. If it was not for the fuel economy and it leaking like a sieve I'd be well happy.

is this real? Actually want to buy it!

Anyone bought of these people before?

£10k on a Vauxhall... Jesus. No wonder suicide rates are going up.

Good price OP.

For this wanting a diesel there are a couple on motorpoint for £10,300 but they are a year old (2013 reg) with 10-12,000 miles.

That's what I love about the car deal threads on here - they always identify the simple and shallow end of the gene pool.

I had a zafira 1.6 years ago and was fine. Not a clue what they are like now though!

Great car for this price,Bought a 1.8 Exclusive from Wilsons of Epsom for £11150 Inc Met Paint and Road Tax/Reg.
I looked at Car shop/Tradesales Slough etc but they could not get near this deal price

We had to join Vauxhall Partners thro Unison to get this price,Many other Employer are on the list.

Previously we had a 1.6 Life for 10 Years with no problems, this was a bit under powered for Towing a trailer but great for the school run.

Unless you have a leaden foot then 40mpg (minimum with 1.7) should equate to 100+ more mile per tank
I got 400+ (650 on motorway) with my old 1.9cdti
I would complain and loudly about it to Vauxhall to sort it
#30
And TBH I would probably take the 1.6 over the 1.8 petrol (due to running costs and live with it being underpowered, and given the DPF and other problems with the CDTI engines I'd probably avoid those too.

If I had seen this when I was in the market for a car a couple of months ago instead of just the 1.8 then I might have snapped this up

Is this the old model Ye? Not that new facelift model

Reliability doesn't look too great. Warranty direct are the best source of real reliability information because they work out reliability on how much they have to pay to repair vehicles. You can see at the bottom of this page the perceived reliability of owners and the real reliability at the top.

http://www.reliabilityindex.com/reliability/search/365

Doesn't account for model variations though where one engine may be problematic in the range for example. Basically Zafira's are 63% worse than the average for reliability.

Still might be a good deal for a new vehicle with a long warranty but clearly a vehicle more likely to let you down than more expensive competitors.

Ford C-Max is much more reliable.

People don't jump straight in do your homework and you will see that you will end up paying more before you even start.
You have paint protection carpet and upholstery and looking at these deals the 10,000 car also has interest and the cars in big wheels post are prices FROM. We have a new Astra and we also had additional to pay.

I've got a 55plate 1.6 club had it since new never had a problem with it. The most I've paid out on it is at one is 4new tyres!! However when fully loaded it is chugish to pull away and very slow up hill. For the price u get what you pay for we wanted a cheap family car and bought one
#35
Good cheap budget cars, expect some sensor issues and lower trade-in prices from Vauxhall. If you plan to keep the car long term their 10yr warranty seems OK to me!

Having owned 6 vauxhalls over the years they are pretty good cars until something major goes wrong, but then again my Mondeo have major clutch work at 38,000 miles on Ford warranty.

Heat added from me.
#36
shame its not for the VXR Model may have twisted me to upgrade my Gsi
#37
Voted Hot.

A brand new 7 seater family holdall with a warranty for £10k. Only the HUKD Motoring Polis and the Badge Polis will disagree...

Vauxhall/GM. AVOID.

... I'm getting 350 - 400 miles per tank of fuel so I'm not best pleased with that. ...

Is that how you measure fuel consumption? Really? Seriously?
So, if they gave the same car a larger tank you'd be happy?

Can't believe they haven't changed the design of the Zafira, it feels weird to see 14reg cars which look like they're from 7 years ago!
