Tesco are selling these for 27p per can, a bargain when you consider they're 5p cheaper than the 220G version. Not as cheap as buying the 8 tins for £2, but not everyone wants to buy 8 tins of beans… Read More

Heinz FTW

Yes, but buying 3,000 cars works out a whole lot cheaper than buying 1 car but strangely people still buy 1 car....
& Heinz are almost 3 times the price, these are great beans for the price.

Edited By: danhufc on Mar 23, 2011 11:28: Added stuff.

I just went to get these from tesco, and they were full price, both the packs and the single cans.:(

I saw the bogof deal someone posted yesterday and ended up paying £2.45 each for two four packs. Should know better than to believe half the offers posted on here by now.

It's a legit deal, go on tesco.com and look at groceries.

Fits perfectly into my strict student diet. Heat added!

Tescos are currently doing a 4 pack of their own brand for £1. They are actually alright, just avoid the value range ones.

But are these not larger sized cans as shown in the original post? Therefore, half the price almost of your 2*4 for £2 right?

27p * 8 = £2.16
410g * 8 = 3280g
65p / Kg

25p * 8 = £2.00
220g * 8 = 1760g
£1.13 / Kg

Are they ditching the branston brands? I noticed the 720g brown sauce was 39p today too.

Just recently the stores were selling a 4 pack for £1.47 and a single tin for 28p. Now they are doing 2 x 4 for £2 and single tins for 27p. I bet the people who bought them at the earlier offer (me included) are feeling pretty P......d O.f right now. Why do Tesco do this? Do they enjoy alienating their customers or what? They put a good offer on to entice people to spend money and shortly after but a better offer on. Outrageous. I hate Tesco but they are only 1/4 mile away when the next best Asda is 4 miles away. AAAAGGGGHHHHH!

Try checking your receipt before leaving the shop and if you dont get the price you were expecting give them back. Tesco do this all the time.

How p....d off can you be if you've spent an extra penny on a tin of beans?! Always good when a good deal gets better!

I'm quite old, and I like beans (old, and convinced of the health giving properties of the beanst). Surprisingly enough, I prefer the upstart Branston. A few years ago I bought A LOT of Branston when they were 4 for £1. Imagine my distress this evening when my husband asked me what I wanted with my fish fingers, and there were NO beans! I got the torch out, and found a tin of Branston Chick Peas... good, but that, too, was the last one.

Can anyone advise of the best way to replenish my supplies? 8 for £2 at Tesco, free delivery and a code for £10 off when you spend £100?

Help! I feel so insecure when I'm beanfree. (They are pretty good for separating shelving, too...we have a lot of books).

They were not marked up as being on 241 anywhere in store, so I just took a gamble that the deal was right.
