Tesco have packs of 4 x 410g tins of Branston Baked Beans on a Buy One Get One Free offer.

The price per pack is currently showing as £1.57.

Tesco also have 800g jars of Hellmann's (real and light) mayonnaise at £3.19 and BOGOF. This offer wasn't displayed in my local store, but I presume the jars go through the tills at BOGOF.

This works out at the equivalent of 80p for a 400g jar and £1.20 for a 600g jar, so is pretty much unbeatable if you use a lot of this mayo.

The offer is not really available online now.

You can place an order for delivery tomorrow, but that does not mean they will charge you the price shown. It's one of the quirks of the Tesco website.

Hot! under 20p per can, this must be the cheapest they have ever been.
#5

Yes, I think that might happen as well, but if not, I'll be picking some up.

Do baked beans contribute to global

I would be very suprised if they did not put the price up, ill open at £1.99 BOGOF which is probably on a par with their previous offering at £1 for 4

I would bet on them putting the price up to £2.55.

Still hopefully they'll play this one straight.

Everyone knows beans that have been left on the hob too long are the best.
You eveaporate some of the water i.e. a bean juice reduction.
Bellissimo.

I find it strange that this has already hit 200 heat when no one knows what they could be paying, what happens if they change the price to £2.50? then it would be cheaper to get them at ASDA?

If the price stays at £1.57 its a good deal but until people know the price they shouldn't be giving heat in my opinion

That's why I have not voted until I see what price they are tomorrow.

Branston Beans 4 X 410G -£x.xx BOGOF at Tescobut still dearer than Asda

If the price goes up then contact your local trading standards office.

I find that microwaving beans taints the taste, better to warm them slowly to avoid sticking to the pan and going mushy. Beans on toast is a difficult dish to get right :)
#27
I read somewhere thast the price of baked beans will be goign up for some reason. Gonna buy a few dozen cans and ebay 'em lol :p
#28
:O They're still £1.57 - guess that's a bargain then!

Weird because I have my receipt here and they scanned at £1.57 bogof at 7:13am this morning and that was at Torquay Metro.

Just got back from my Extra - £1.57 BOGOF confirmed.

It's all about Heinz, got these in the kitchen and I swear when I empty the can into the pan it's as if there's half the beans as a Heinz tin. It's just a load of tomato sauce.

Still, hot price if you like them.
