Brilliant series and pretty topical seeing the way the media are covering what is happening in Japan.

Excellent television. Is to comedy what The Wire is to drama.

Brilliant!

I still think it's worth every penny of the £15+ I paid when it first came out.

Have some heat

Terrible stuff cake - affects a part of the brain known as Shatner's bassoon :(

Potential buyers please note: this is 'satire' not comedy: do not expect to laugh much.

They should also note that old Keith has obviously had a sense of humour transplant. I don't recall laughing as much at anything as I did Brass Eye. (_;)

Erm, ok. A satire on perceptions that satire isn't funny? My head hurts - I'm obviously off my mash on ecstasy pipes oO

one of the best things on TV ever! :D

Peter File has been killed by this excellent price.

Anyone voting cold on this is clearly as gay as a window...
#18
Shame this doesn't include the Paedogeddon special episode. A exceptionally brilliant satire about the hysteria that surrounds this subject, one of the most complained about pieces of TV ever. The fact that these complainers never got it made it even funnier.

Actually i just noticed it say's it includes the 2001 special....
Is this the Paedogeddon episode ?
#20
Yeah, I have this and it includes the Daily Mail baiting paedosode.

Not sure if this is the used price or not.

The one on Amazon though is just for the original episodes, not the special edition mentioned here.
#22
Yep.... Its used. Sold by Zoverstocks seller.
#23
If it was new i would have bought it.....
But this aint a hot deal for a used DVD..... So cold from me i'm afraid.

There has only ever been one release of this which contains all seven episodes and a few extras.

Even if you are being ironic, there's a lot of truth in that comment.

You can appreciate the cleverness, the accuracy of the parodies and how much modern news channels seem to have gone beyond parody, but the bottom line is this isn't really that funny. As Chris Morris's career has plummeted since then, it does seem that in retrospect he was a one-trick pony who said all he had to say on "The Day Today".

Yeah, I have this and it includes the Daily Mail baiting paedosode.

Worth getting just to hear Gary Lineker use the phrase 'pip-to-pipe bushmen'.

And Richard Blackwood sniffing a keyboard.

Great price for a legendary show!

For all you Chris Morris fans I'd highly recommend his debut movie Four Lions too:

I don't agree with either of you at all there, I found Brass Eye funny and I laughed a lot - so many classic moments in this series.

Where's PhillK anyway, has he taken a holiday from trolling? I'm starting to miss him.

You're free to disagree. The fact remains that this series, for the most part, was not particularly funny. Clever maybe; but not funny.
