I think its ideal for a 7 yr old (i'm biased i know ... ) ,

I actually rang my sister up earlier to tell her about it as My nieces birthday is on Sunday. Thought it might be a good idea if they still needed to get her something (she's turning 7 too ) :)
great!, it was this or the princess desk/dressing table you said your little girl has but i think that would be too small for my daughter, shes a bit bigger than the average 7 year old, this is in stock at my local, so this it is! thank you :):)
Any girl that knows about bratz will love this. Daughter age 9 would love it, but her birthday not till November and you never know at that age if they will still be into the same things in 9 months time.
I have ordered this for my nine year old who will just totally love videoing herself and watching it back again !! How long will a 128 mb card last for then....about and hour ?? Better stock up on batteries too !
You're welcome lou, i think you're right it is more suitable for her age than the princess desk too and she'll get more fun out of this too. :)

I agree, i'm sure they'll have loadsa fun making their own little movies on this ( wish i had one when i was their age ...) :giggle:
I'm going to buy one and respray it black then stick a sony label on it

Great spot OP.

In answer to Lola's question about the 128Mb card :
With luck the 128Mb card will last about 6-10 minutes. If it lasted for an hour then the video wil be truly, truly awful.

To give you a very rough rule of thumb : if this camera produces Video-CD quality then a 128Mb card will last about 11 minutes. If it were (and it isn't !) DVD quality then a 128Mb card would last about 1 minute 40 seconds.

Quality of video and disk space are inversely proportional.

Hope this helps.
Just ordered one for my 8 year old- she loves BRATZ and at this price it's brilliant - THANKS
i picked mine up this morning, its teeny but looks cool. They had none of the memory cards in stock so i need to go back and pick that up.

I noticed on the box that it has built in 32mb and it says this alone will give 16 mins of would the 128 mb card not give an hour then ? I know ra2000 already said it would only be about 10 mins..
picked mine up today, is very small, but cool!, i got a white one, actually prefer it to the purple, not sure bout the mem card but does say will hold up to 100 pics, not sure about vid,i think my daughter will be well chuffed :)
