The Oral-B Professional Care 6000 rechargeable toothbrush combines a compact round brush head with a high-speed 3D pulsing action to help prevent and even reverse gum disease. While your brush's in-and-out pulsating movements (20,000 per minute) loosen plaque on and between your teeth, its oscillating rotations (7,600 per minute) will sweep it away. This brushing technology, pioneered by Oral-B is clinically proven to:

Remove significantly more plaque than an ordinary manual toothbrush
Improve the health of gums by reversing gingivitis
Remove stains
Help prevent gum disease, the leading cause of tooth loss
Work as gently on teeth and gums as a soft manual toothbrush.

The Oral-B Professional Care 6000 rechargeable toothbrush comes complete with a Precision Clean toothbrush head. These are perfect for ensuring a complete clean, as the round brush head surrounds each individual tooth.

Dual speed 3D cleaning for sensitive areas
Up to 20,000 pulsations and 7,600 rotations per minute
Built-in pressure sensor stops pulsations if you're brushing too hard
2 minute quad timer helps you brush for the dentist recommended time
Rechargeable handle lasts up to 7 days between charges (cleaning twice a day for two minutes each session)

Just bought the 5000 from Superdrug and seems good for £20 (half price), cant really see the difference between this and my 5000, but good price anyways!

you can't beat electric

There seem to be two families of these things so there are only two fundamental differences between them: the oscillations per minute. This is one of the slower variety; whether there is any practical advantage to the faster ones I don't know. IIRC the cheapest faster one is £27. All the other differences are cosmetic, such as optional lower speeds (tell me the "sensitive" and "polish" modes are anything more sophisticated than that), number of accessories, storage in the base or not, timers, LCD displays of battery state or smiley faces based on timers, light on the pressure sensor, etc.

Amazon have all of them, supposedly heavily discounted.

The way to make money
Not much to say really, apart from beware that this brush does not take standard heads, and you will pay an awful lot for the ones you need. I ended up sending mine back and getting one which takes the "normal" EB17 heads, whereas this needs EB18 heads. Boring, but at the time they cost so much more - check before you buy.

I find that hard to believe in the light of what Amazon says for the EB17: "Fits all Oral-B rechargeable toothbrushes apart from Sonic Complete, Sonic Complete DLX and Vitality Sonic"

As far as I can see the EB18 heads are the ones with the polishing cup on them, and are interchangeable with the normal heads.
