Part of the Procter and Gamble Company since 2006, the Oral-B brand includes manual and power toothbrushes for children and adults, oral irrigators and oral care centres and interdental products, such as dental floss.

For more than 50 years, Oral-B has produced the highest quality dental hygiene products for you, your family and dental professionals worldwide.
Oral-B power products offer exceptional features and performance benefits.

The Oral-B Professional Care 7000 Series combines a compact round brushhead with a unique pulsing 3D action to help prevent and even reverse gum disease. The combination of high speed pulsations and the oscillating rotating technology pioneered by Oral-B has been shown to reduce plaque and gingivitis more effectively than a manual toothbrush.

Ta. This is a great price for this toothbrush. We already have one of them but, at this price, I'm tempted to get another.

This toothbrush was a "best buy" in the december "which" magazine that i recieved this morning, it also received the "exceptional value stamp".

Oral B Professional Care 7000
BEST BUY

This Best Buy Oral B Professional Care 7000 brush is one of the top 5 brushes on test and is reasonably priced too.

It’s easy to use and offers good cleaning performance. It's a rotation oscillation brush so the head of the brush rotates in one direction and then the other. The small head is intended for cleaning each side of one tooth before moving on to the next.

It has a timer to help you brush for the recommended amount of time and a pressure sensor so that you don’t press too hard on your teeth.

There are 2 brushing speeds and cleaning performance is good. The brush moves well over your teeth but it doesn't do so as frequently as some other brushes on test. It’s 23 cm long and weighs 138 grams.

This brush is very easy to use and comfortable to hold when brushing. It’s very simple to change the removable brush head, replacements for which are an average cost compared to other brushes on test.

The supplied rechargeable batteries offer decent battery life. You'll get 47 minutes running time per charge and charging takes 13 hours or so.

Pros: Easy to use, good cleaning performance, reasonably priced

Cons: Other Best Buys have better battery life

i got the 7500 deluxe for £16 from superdrug about 8 months ago, but this is still a good deal
#6
I have an older one. I can't believe I didn't have one sooner. Once you use one you will never be able to go back (we bought a battery operated one for travel).
#7
How much are they normally
#8
Got one from tesco last week for £15
#9
Sorry to be a pain but aren't the Sonicare brushes better. I had an Oral B for years and just moved to Sonicare on my dentist's recommendation and would never go back however cheap!
#10
I think I saw these in Sainsburys for this price today, unless I was mistaken. Didn't pay too much attention to be honest.

They are nearly always half price somewhere, so around £21.24 is the price you would expect to pay.

This brush was £21.24 in Tesco last week. If you got it cheaper, it must have been a store specific clearance.

Thats a matter of debate, but if you're happy with Sonicare, that's great.

Don't forget, Tesco Direct have the best current offer for replacement heads for the Oral-B Professional Care 7000 - £1.74 for a twin pack of the EB17 heads.

Very unlikely. Stores are now stocking the new packaging brush heads, which are much more expensive, i.e £9.99 for a 3 pack. People have reported seeing some of the old stock in Tesco Express and Metro stores, so it might still be worth looking out for them.

Still available for only £19.99 (delivered).
Just received my order, I cannot believe how excellent they are and cost only 20 quid each!
Buy one before they're sold out!!!

Just got my tooth brush from Amazon.

Its fine if you live in Europe but not in the uk as it comes with a European plug.

Just forked out a further £4 for a European to uk plug!
#24
I have had this brush for a while now, its very good but i am looking to upgrade as it seems to lose its charge much quicker after just a few months use which aint so clever.

unfortunately not.. most studies have found very little difference between the two (Sonicare and Oral B professional care) however a study in 2005 showed that the Oral B is more effective in removing plaque.. (see abstract below)

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=pubmed&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=15997965&ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVAbstractPlus

As a nearly qualified (fingers crossed in june!) dentist .. I recommend either, both are very different in their actions, but very good at what they do.. i personally have the Oral B professional 7000

With some of these systems, the main "motor" part can be shared by many users, each of which has his/her own exchangable tip. Is this the case in here or does every user need to have his/her own complete kit (main part + tip)?

Each user just needs their own brush head (tip)
